If Cavs trade anyone it’d be Darius Garland who I think they would trade for Jaylon Brown but Cavs would need to add value. I also think Dallas would prefer Brown to Mitchell and Celtics shouldn’t be trading a 1st for AD in this proposal imo.

For the Celtics, it's a 25 1st, low 1st, AD solves their 4/5 problem.
Mavs need perimeter scorer, I can see Kyrie/Mitchell backcourt, not Kyrie/Garland, but I totally get if Cavs insist on Garland, that's what I would prefer if I was the Cavs, but it'd be a different deal.
Mitcell is traded for Brown 1 for 1, but Garland needs aggregation and Cavs are 2nd Apron.

Honestly, if Boston would give that for AD, I'd rather just make a straight Boston-Dallas trade.

The trade isn't legal. Brown makes too much. Assuming the Cavs lose and the front office wants to pivot, Flagg and the rest of the flotsam can come to Cleveland for Mitchell.

Mitchell isn't #1 overall worth

It's really the only thing Dallas could offer that would make the Cavs consider trading Mitchell.

I'd do it from Cavs end. Longer/more defensive wing and a 1st on top is gravy.

No it isn't, I think this offer is fair or close to it, but feel free to disagree...

Dallas certainly shouldn't be compelled to crap the bed because we did. If they DID, I'd take it, 100%...

Yea, thinking Cavs would rather do Garland. But Dallas really should look to trade AD. I was thinking Garland/Allen could work if Cavs wanted AD themselves to pair with Mobely, where Dallas reroutes Allen to another team and takes Darius. But maybe too much for Cle to give up for an aging AD?

I think Garland is the one to move on from if this decision is to be made, but like I said, Cavs are second Apron team, if it's Garland going out, then it's not Jaylen Brown coming back (or AD for that matter) because of the rules.
Welcome back !

No interest in moving Garland for now PERSONALLY. Garland has a synergy with Mobley and Allen that Mitchell only has with himself, and I'm done with the experiment myself. Of course multiple Cavs fans will come to Mitchell's defense, telling us it isn't easy chucking all those ill-advised shots up. I'm surprised his rotator cuff has survived so long, honestly...

My bad, deal is illegal, Brown indeed makes more, and because of the Apron it's impossible to adjust, you can lock this...

Ha, thanks; as much of a Luka critic as I was, that trade and the way the FO handled everything, I had to take a huge break away from basketball. Slowly came back after I heard the Lakers were eliminated and now this.

Hard pass from this Cavs fan.
