Post#1 » by ProcessDoctor » Sat May 17, 2025 2:27 am

HOU out: Green, Smith, Landale, #10, 2027 PHX 1st, 2029 PHX/DAL 1st
HOU in: Giannis

MIL out: Giannis
MIL in: #3, 2027 PHX 1st, 2029 PHX/DAL 1st, Green, Landale, Oubre (exp), Drummond (exp)

PHI out: #3, Oubre, Drummond
PHI gets: #10, Jabari

Houston gets their guy
Milwaukee gets a nice rebuilding package and some salary relief
Philly maximizes value from the #3 pick
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Don't think Houston can pay 3 maxes and you haven't gotten the Bucks any of thier own picks back.

This seems like more of a backdoor attempt to get Jabari to Philly.

I also just don't like the value for Philly. While Jabari has a known floor and he has a chance to develop, it is pretty reasonable to assume that someone in that 3-5 group will be a better pro and Philly gets their pick of the group. Horrific for Milwaukee, though.

Not trading Giannis one. Bucks don’t have their picks. #3 in this draft isn’t worth giving up Giannis. Not a serious offer from Houston

No it feels like a way to get Giannis to Houston without giving up hardly anything. No Sengun, no Amen, not even Eason or Reed. Just some picks and trying to make it look better by roping in Philly to give them one good pick...

This is a home run for Houston.

You need to go back to check MIL’s future draft pick situation. You will understand MIL have to remain competitive. Many of their future picks are not on their hands

The Rockets are giving up almost nothing here. It's the 76ers that's doing a lot of the work here to help the Rockets get Giannis. Also Jabari Smith is not worth moving down 7 spots. I guess it's better than trades that involve the 76ers outright trading out of the 1st round entirely for aging stars, but this is still bad value at the end of the day.
