Bulls go for it-Utah/Bos

Post#1 » by pipfan » Sat May 17, 2025 6:17 am

This one is a bit crazy, but why not

Bulls send Vuc and DTerry to Bos for KP
Bos saves $ and adds a bench wing in Terry. Vuc plays nightly and is productive for Bos.

Bulls send PWill/Huerter/JCarter (buyout)/#12/Port pick/2027 top 10 protected 1st to Utah for Lauri. Maybe Utah can send Huerter to a 3rd team, since he's a useful/expiring vet and Utah will tank again next year

Bulls end up with
White/Ayo
Giddey/Ball
Matas/Phillips
Lauri/JSmith
KP/Collins
That's a huge lineup that, if KP is relatively healthy, could be a threat in the playoffs. Would need to sign some depth

Utah tanks 2026 again and builds around all their young guys, and 2026 cap space/future picks

Probably fair but I'd rather see if someone offers a 2026 pick.

Bulls could offer their 2026 unprotected pick, and keep the 12th? Maybe add a swap in 2027 as well?

This 12th, 2027 protected first and the Portland scratch off ticket for Lauri?

Feels like it should be an instant yes for Utah?

I think Boston at least makes Chicago finds a new home for Terry. Don’t think he’s worth 5m to a team trying to cut costs.

I think Chicago changes the 2027 first into a 2026 (same protection).. no reason to trade firsts in future when you don’t need to.

Utah can trade 12th for a future first pretty easily if Ainge just wants to delay assets and commit to a tank.

Chicago should just tank, but if they aren’t going to? The team looks like a nice improvement off of this years team. If Collins can stay healthy, he’ll help on the games that KP misses. Same with Jalen..

Value is fine. Boston would want to save more money though. Can we leave Terry out?
Bostons real need is to cut down 2026/27 salary.
