Did you check the salary matching? neither team can take back more than it sends out. Value wise i think White fetches more from other teams

The Mavs send +- 28 million and receive 30... they can receive Queta in any of the multiple TPE they have, right?

They are sending out 27 by my calculations. Dallas is well over 1st apron so no cannot receive more than outgoing

Wow!!! A White trade.
I personally think he has more value than that. At top 30-40 guy on a team friendly contract locked in for 4years. Dallas would be tough with that team.

Yeah the bloom is off the Lively rose a bit after last year. I would have to think Boston could do better. It's a smart player package but lacks value.

Unless you're adding picks, I dunno why we take the worse players to dump a good contract for a very good glue guy, who at times could carry an offense and is a fantastic defender.

White is almost 31 y/o and he plays guard, if teams actually beat this offer, Celtics should absolutely take it, I disagree they are getting better offers.
Mavs shouldn't offer this, they should offer the 2 1sts, they have one of the best prospects in decades, these are the players on his timeline, his timeline is the most important item on agenda.

Personally I would never ever trade Luka and would now look for the best offer for AD and rebuild around Flagg/Lively/PJ/Christie/whatever I get for AD etc, I would even try to pick high in the lottery next Draft, but Nico's route seems to be another one, and he seems to be going in the opposite direction, in fact I just read that Boston will interview with Flagg (I guess it's a formality or something like that) but I admit that I have felt some concern, especially with Nico at the helm and being an admirer of Brown

It’s actually a solid offer for White. BOS probably get more elsewhere ,but it’s not crazy low.
I hate the “more important to us than others” argument, but it might apply to White. I think Tatum could accept a mini tear down / reset next year as long as the team is in good shape to go forward for 26-27. But, I think that’s with moving just about anyone but White. Both on and off the court those 2 fit very well.

With Tatum's injury, you are getting potentially 3 starters in Max/PJ/Lively, together with Brown + Jrue is still a very strong starting line up.

Disagree, but if some else tops this offer, wish them the best, I still haven't seen better offers than OP or 2 unprotected 1sts...

For reference, Jrue 2 years ago was traded for 1 immediate 1st in a bad draft and far away 1st from team with Tatum and Brown.
Jrue was a better player than White now, even the matching money was a guy that just failed his physical and a guy that barely plays due to injury.

White is a top 40 guy on a very team friendly contract. He will likely still be that guy through the life of his contract. For the Celtics meet their Salary reduction goals they can’t keep Washington long term, so he really doesn’t help or do anything for me.
Lively is a good prospect and solid guy but has some flaws. Christie is a good player but not a starter on a good team. I just don’t see the value matching up.
Future picks need to be added imo, White is a high value asset, not a Salary dump.

I think you are really underestimating how good White is.
Holiday was two years older at the time of the trade as well.

Now Dallas picks are bad again before Flagg even plays a game. Rollercoaster. I hope everyone is right about him.
I would add the LAL pick to this package, though I don’t think it’s enough for Boston really. And think Boston looks to trade PJ (and whatever other value/player) for the best pick possible (or best future variance pick) with some cap savings.
I would much rather trade AD and tank a year. But if you’re not doing that, you might as well try and compete.
It’s not hard to dump Martin or Hardy (or both) so the base idea works pretty easily.

White is soon to be 31, under contract of 30M for 4 more years. I agree he is a very good player, but I won’t say he has a very team friendly contract. He is no doubt a positive asset. But I will say you may overvalue a bit here.

White is 4 years too old for this package
