Cavs / Nets / Thunder

Post#1 » by JJ_PR » Sun May 18, 2025 10:32 pm

Cavs get: Nic Claxton, Cason Wallace, Ousmane Dieng, 8th pick and 15th pick
Nets get: Donovan Mitchell and Ajay Mitchell
Thunder get: Cam Johnson

Waive Dean Wade to save some cash. He's too injury prone.

Why?
Cavs get a good package of good fitting players and picks and save some money.
Nets get their coveted superstar.
Thunder get a sharpshooter who fits well with them.

This is a pathetic package for Donovan Mitchell. The Cavaliers don't even entertain this offer.

Again, if CLE is moving Mitchell they should at least build the trade around a young starter. I don't think Wallace is that player.

I'd do it from Cavs end, but it looks like an overpay by OKC for Johnson.

Nets have other assets.

What else would they have to kick in for Mitchell to come their way?

Trade wasn't legal if I didn't include Cam and Nic.

If the Nets are making an aggressive buy move like Mitchell, why would they trade Johnson and Claxton? They have more than enough cap space that they don't need to be involved.
