if sacramento is trying to tear down this core they shouldnt be paying FRP to do so. They should just cut out Utah and take PWill and the portland 1st themselves

A Sacramento fan posted this end of the deal yesterday, so this is adapting it. I agree, they should cut out Utah.

Denver cuts out Sac and just takes Collins and Sexton. Two rotation players for one. They need more playable players.

We aren't doing that unless they send their 2031 1st.

As I said in the other thread, if this is the SAC 2026 FRP rather than the SAN 2027 FRP then it might have a chance with the Jazz FO.

Denver and Chicago should absolutely do this. Don't like it for the Kings and for Utah I'm mostly just proud of Jax valuing an unprotected pick from a team projected to be good that year.

I don't think the jazz should have to take on Patrick Williams contract unless they value a highly paid role player on a rebuilding team. He just seems like the wrong direction for them.

Why should Chicago do this? MPJ does nothing for the current Bulls, would rather the cap space from Huerters expiring and try our hand next off-season with resetting the roster.

Agreed, Huerter is a cheaper version of MPJ right?!

Why are we ignoring removing the last 2 years of Williams? Yes you take on a little salary in 26-27, but you save all the money the following two seasons which is probably when Chicago is trying to be good again so much better time to save money.

Not really but Billy plays 3 guards too often, Huerter is capable at the SF, Giddey does a lot of SF rebounding for a PG. It's not like MPJ steps in and turns the Bulls from winning 39 games to 50.
There's zero reason for the Bulls to fixate on Williams' contract when yeah he had a bad year but he's hardly a garbage player, that they need to give up that potential #15 pick to soak up so much cap space on one not superstar.

Williams is a bad contract but not a cap killing one.
The Bulls only have Williams and Smith under contract after next season with team options on Ball, Buzelis and Phillips. Obviously that changes depending on what happens with Giddey and White which makes taking on MPJ even more stupid.
