Four team deal to get the Nets some draft capital by solving problems for three other teams.
This one does work on the trade machine.
Not sure about the draft compensation on this one so I could use some feedback about what might make these teams happy or not.
Nets give
Nic Claxton (to Lakers)
Pick 8 (to Wizards)
Pick 26 (to Wizards)
Pick 27 (to Bulls)
Nets get
Jordan Poole (from Wizards)
Pick 6 (from Wizards)
Pick 12 (from Bulls)
Wizards give
Jordan Poole (to Nets)
Pick 6 (to Nets)
Wizards get
Patrick Williams (from Bulls)
Gave Vincent (from Lakers)
Pick 8 (from Nets)
Pick 26 (from Nets)
Lakers 2025 second round pick
Lakers 2031 first round pick (top 4 protected)
Lakers give
Rui Hachimura (to Bulls)
Gabe Vincent (to Wizards)
Lakers 2025 second round pick (to Wizards)
Lakers 2031 first round pick (top 4 protected, to Wizards)
Lakers get
Nic Claxton (from Nets)
Bulls give
Patrick Williams (to Wizards)
Pick 12 (to Nets)
Bulls get
Rui Hachimura (from Lakers)
Pick 27 (from Nets)
Nets add two million dollars of salary and roll the dice on Poole while consolidating assets, Wizards get off Poole and move down two spots for additional picks, Lakers get their man for a fair price, Bulls get off Williams and shave more than $1.5 mil off the cap.
Like I said I am not completely sure about the draft compensation but the Nets need to consolidate assets at some point and this deal seems to solve at least one problems for each of the other teams.

Wizards aren't looking to get off Poole, to the contrary, they are willing to add money on the books to improve their draft position.
If the Lakers are paying a 1st for Claxton, Vando is going out, not a positive value player like Rui.
Bulls part is fine, but I don't think you get Rui in the original deal.

CHI passes, makes no sense to burn the 12th pick to turn Pat into Rui, even when factoring in contracts.

You can omit the Bulls. It's not like Hachimura is the huge difference maker you want him to be to rationalize this. He's a PF, they have Buzelis already as a PF, where 's the sense to this? The Bulls have never acted like they're so fed up with their move to sign Williams to that contract that they'd pay to get rid of him. And dropping fro #12 to #27 is a high price to pay for a team that is short on young assets.

I reckon Pelinka would rather have kept Mark Williams despite his medical instead of surrendering it for Claxton.

Yeah Pelinka is that dumb. You are right.

Massive overpay for Claxton. What makes him more valuable than Rui?

Rui has a much shorter contract that Pat.
Also, the Bulls shave money of the cap now ($1.5 mil on the swap as well as the difference in rookie contract from 12 vs 27).
The Bulls are paying for cap relief here.
I included them because I believed that they wanted cap relief to achieve larger goals.

Say what you want about Claxton but he has been relatively healthy and is tough.

Nothing. I'd have him less.
Also this deal is just way too complicated. Start with a singular idea and concentrate on it. Sounds like it is moving up in the draft for the Nets. Identify a team possibly willing to move down and make that offer.
This has so many moving parts. Hard to get 2 teams to agree.

The genesis of this trade idea was the thought that the Nets could take on Poole and the Wizards could take on a bigger contract (Beal, George, etc.) and that both teams could get paid by whoever is unloading the bad contract.
I wasn't really sure if swapping Poole for Pat Williams was all that good or bad for the Wizards so I gave them the Lakers pick and some other assets for moving down two spots from 4 to 6.

That’s the thing though. Atleast with Mark Williams, there’s the tantalizing prospect of him becoming more healthy and growing on defense because his physical tools are unreal. With Claxton, you know what you get and that’s not worth what’s being offered here.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this for Brooklyn, and it's too complicated compared to how little actually meaningfully changes for these teams post trade.

We don't need to pay for cap relief, it's a no from Chicago.

Claxton doesn't have nearly this much value. 8+26+27 probably gets you to 6 plus some change, but Claxton isn't worth a top 14 pick by any means.
