Time to free Beal...ORL

ORL sends: KCP ($21.6m ), Cole Anthony ($13.1m), WCJ ($10.9m), Jett ($5.5m) = $51.1m
PHX sends: Beal ($53.7 m) and #29
Why PHX: they're strapped with 3 superstar deals and an unbalanced lineup. KCP/Booker is a fire-breathing balanced starting backcourt. WCJ is a versatile bruiser who switches well and does everything well enough with few mistakes, few highlights, solid 2-way player and still only 26yo. Cole Anthony and Jett Howard both expire but are both worth a look for a year. Both are capable of big offensive nights, but haven't been able to provide enough consistency in ORL's defense-heavy rotation...worst scenario, both expire. Mostly, reset off of Beal's deal.
Why ORL: on paper, he's exactly what they need and they can manage his deal for two years before Paolo & Franz' deals eat up half of the cap. Maybe, if Beal loves the environment, he declines his PO next summer and signs a reasonable extension. Not counting on that or any type of punitive team-friendly deal, but ORL's core is still young enough to consider this massive-upside swing. He's shown himself, in the past (primarily when Wall was out), that he can run an offense, rack up points and assists and spread the floor for Paolo & Franz to destroy inside. ORL adds another frp because they will have to fill the rotation out with kids and vet mins over the next couple of years.

magic can not take on that contract period...he is not worth it...would leave magic unable to make any moves and i think worse after trade

as i suns fan i couldn't say yes fast enough, i cant see Orlando doing this and if the did i think they would regret it before the first season with Beal is done, far too injury prone and not nearly ass impactful any more to come close to living up to that contract, but to be fair i expect him to have more of an impact on his next team since phoenix was a bad fit and he was used wrong and to his credit he remained pretty professional during a trying season. But the contract is the deal breaker coupled with the no trade clause

No idea why Magic would entertain this - even for a minute....

Yeah...I figured
really good player, insane contract, worse fit
Basically, KCP to ORL but doubled
