Milwaukee - Denver - Utah - Boston

Post#1 » by Godaddycurse » Fri May 23, 2025 11:58 pm

Utah trade: Collins, 21
Utah receive: Kuzma, Nnaji, Saric, 32, DEN 2031 1st

Denver trade: Nnaji, Saric, 2031 1st
Denver receive: Portis, 21

Milwaukee trade: Kuzma, Portis
Milwaukee receive: Holiday

Boston trade: Holiday, 32
Boston receive: Collins

Why for Milwaukee: Add a starting guard to pair with Giannis and eventually dame too next year
Why for Denver: Add a capable 4/5 back up for gordon/portis and a pick to draft more depth
Why for Utah: eat salary and trade back to get a future high variance pick
Why for Boston: cut future salary and get a replacement starting PF with tatum out

I'd want Milwaukee cut out and Jrue can be routed somewhere else (we can do it later or find a different team). Feels like the Bucks are stealing value to me. Seems fine for Denver and okay for Boston?

But Denver wouldnt do it without Portis.. they need a (cheap) playoff rotation worthy 4/5 in the worst way

Send 21 and Kenyon Martin Jr. to Miluaukee for Portis but remove Kuzma?

imo for Denver to trade their 2031 1st they need to add 2 playoff caliber player to their rotation, one of which need to be a 4/5. Not sure whom your 2nd player for them is if they dont get pick 21 anymore?

Denver would probably do OP's deal. Swapping the picks is somewhat short-term thinking but that's what they need right now, and they get Portis in the mix. Why not?
