Charlotte trades
Nurkic (exp)
#4
best of 2027 1sts (CHA unprotected / DAL top 2 prot / MIA lotto prot)
worst of 2027 1sts (CHA/DAL/MIA, carries over to worse of CHA/MIA 2028 unprotected if both DAL/MIA picks do not convey in 2027)
San Antonio trades
their choice of Barnes or Keldon Johnson (Barnes exp, Johnson 2 years)
#2

Charlotte gets aggressive in pursuit of Dylan Harper, pairing two very talented and tall playmakers in the backcourt and seeing what happens. Harper/LaMelo/Miller/Bridges/Mark Williams is a solid foundation, and the Hornets will still have 2 2026 1sts, two picks in either 2027 or 2028, and all other future 1sts beyond that to make moves for upgrades. They'd get a decent sixth man in here as well
The Spurs get two more picks, one with major lottery potential, to move down for one of Bailey or Edgecombe. Smaller chance the lower pick could be a lotto as well if things don't work out for these teams as well. I think the salary relief of Johnson could allow them to go after a premier FA in the 2026 offseason while Wemby is still on his rookie contract as well. The backcourt already has talent with Fox/Castle/Vassell, so Bailey feels like a great fit, if they believe in the talent and the Sixers don't snipe him at #3.
