Utah leverages its operating room under the first apron to get some draft picks. They'll look to flip CJ and Hauser after this, but I think you have to take the deal if something like this is on the table.

in: Collin Sexton, Johnny Juzang
Dallas gets a guard who can hold them over till Irving returns without giving up major future assets.

BOS trades: Kristaps Porzingis, Sam Hauser, 28
in: Daniel Gafford, Kenyon Martin Jr.
Boston saves a ton of money ($18 million this year) and gets a serviceable center. Utah and Boston get some points with whoever KMart's agent is for guaranteeing his contract.

NOP trades: CJ McCollum, 2026 IND 1st (1-4 thru 2027, otherwise 2 2nds)
in: Kristaps Porzingis
KP is fragile, but also the perfect fit with Zion. If it doesn't work they can pivot next year and not be out a tremendous amount. Their backup center rotation is also good enough to survive the inevitable stretch of games he will miss.

Don't think KP with his injury risk is worth a first more than CJ.

If he was boston cut utah out and use that first to dump Holiday instead

I think he is worth a first more. There are probably 20 non-elite guards in the league who can do a rough approximation of what CJ does and maybe 5 centers total of KPs archetype.

Thats true, there is also one center being able to do what Embiid does when healthy but one is worth 10 first rounders and the other one is worth probably nothing.
