Shaedon Sharpe for Dyson Daniels
Both were drafted in the same class, Sharpe at #7, Daniels at #8.
If both teams were open to a trade, what is needed to make it happen?
Sharpe is the more talented offensive player, Daniels the more talented defensive player. I'm sure everyone will debate that a bit, which leads to my question about what more is needed and by which team?

Dyson Daniels is worth more.

No reason for ATL to consider this but good grief that would boost POR d.

Daniels is worth more but I personally wouldn’t want Portland to pay more to make that swap.

Daniels should have more value than Shaedon.

How much more though IF they two teams were to make a trade.

This feels like both teams get a worse fit. I’m not really sure I’m seeing the vision. Dyson is a fantastic compliment next to Trae due to his defense and Trae’s gravity making up for his offensive shortcomings.
Dyson and Scoot would be a very tough pairing offensively.

Sharpe is already a bad shooter. Dyson would at least compensate defensively. I’d take his fit next you Scoot over Sharpe’s.

I think the Blazers should be calling about a Hawks guard, but the one named Trae.

Ha, yeah, I have said elsewhere that I am not convinced pushing a lot of chips in for Trae alone improves the Blazers enough to justify his price, but simply swapping these two backcourts in a fantasy land where that could happen would be such a fit, let alone talent, upgrade for Portland. However, it's not worth dreaming about -- Atlanta probably doesn't move Daniels and would be aiming higher in a Trae return.

Yeah, what we would have to give up for them is a very different question. I think many fans have underrated Trae for years, seemingly due to limited team success, but his surrounding team has never been very impressive. I think the Hawks organization however still values him plenty and would demand a lot in return. Dyson would also require a lot in return.

I think Daniels has more value than Sharpe - but I also think the skillset Sharpe brings as a scorer is what PDX needs more than another defender. I would rather stick with Sharpe and hope he develops than swap him, and likely add draft compensation, for Daniels.
As for Tre, no idea what the cost would be but I would do Scoot, Sharpe, 11 and a future FRP. I think the defenders PDX has are pretty ideal for a Young led team.

so would KCP and he's sitting there waiting for you. Daniels is superior to KCP, but he's also an expiring and will likely get paid more than KCP's $21.6 x 2 yrs...and Daniels can't shoot 3's or even FTs at an average %.
KCP, Jett Howard & #25 for Simons
Both teams get better...plus a legit frp this summer. Stop fighting the obvious JRoy

Make it #16 or find something to bridge the gap if it is #25 and I’m in.

Is Portland really ready the jump back on the small no defense PG train? I cannot see that being a viable route forward, especially because Trae would likely cost us our lottery pick and our future Boston/Milwaukee picks, plus some young players and any expirings we have leaving us with no further options to improve. It would be treadmill City all over again, we would be a first round out almost every year.

No...trade your small PG (Scoot) for a really big PG who plays elite D (Anthony Black)...ORL adds 2026 frp (which has a huge upside swap with PHX)

PDX would need 16 rather than 25 to take on the extra year of KCP IMO.
