Jrue Stays, Giannis Comes (to Boston, with BRK ofc)
Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, Payton Pritchard, 2026 and 2031 unprotected first round picks to Milwaukee.
Predicated on the basis Giannis wants a more competitive team. I’ll link the clip later but Windhorst had a segment out stating Giannis likely wants to stay in the east and be on a team that is still competitive for a title, specifically mentioned Boston. So for Milwaukee they need to stay competitive as they owe swaps the next three years and this helps do that.
Giannis to Boston
Obviously raises Boston’s ceiling and keeps them in a title hunt predicated on Tatum’s return.
Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton (edit: and Sam Hauser) and 2025 #28 to BRK. More ammo to move up in the draft for Brooklyn and this is obviously followed up by other moves.

this is going to require all the 1sts and swaps Boston can offer and I don't think it'll be enough.

Very doubt it’s legal, Bucks aren’t trading to Boston no matter what anyways they do not have the assets. Porzingis and Brown arent aren’t a competitive team at all, the picks here are just thrown ins. Windhoss just throwing crap at the wall. Giannis isn’t leaving a team because his running mate blew his Achilles out to go to another team where his running mate just blew his Achilles out too.
Bucks just hold on to Giannis, next offseason there will be more flexibility to make flashy moves.

OP has repeatedly told us he only cares about the Boston POV which is clear here. The gap between Brown and Giannis is not merely Pritchard and two 1st round picks. Its cool to explore bringing an MVP level player to your team. Wish we'd try to actually pay for him though.

C's have more picks, no? Seems kind of crazy not to put them all in the trade, especially considering it still wouldnt be enough.

Re: Jrue Stays, Giannis Comes (to Boston, with BRK ofc)
If you value Jaylen Brown as a top 15, all NBA caliber player, who's actually the best player on the Celtics then I guess this could have some merit. Not saying it's the correct opinion, but there are many on the general board for instance who feel that way and express it in every Tatum/Celtics thread.
In the many Jaylen brown trade threads outside of a Giannis context though it's been made abundantly clear that this message board is not high on him. Through a combo of not thinking he's as good as his reputation and thus the contract being not great (some even say "negative"), which are fair arguments, then this trade package imply doesn't hold any weight in a deal for Giannis.
My guess is MIL and other NBA teams are more in the middle, but leaning towards the latter extreme and thus this is DOA.

brooklyn isnt going to facilitate another team getting giannis, let alone a division rival

It probably takes Brown and White plus all the picks and the appropriate gymnastics to make the Salaries work.
If Giannis wants out it will come down to the best offer I would guess regardless of where Giannis wants to go. I think there are probably offers that beat the OP, but if it’s Brown and White then that seems pretty competitive.

How about a deal centered around Jaylen Brown for AD instead?

Re: Jrue Stays, Giannis Comes (to Boston, with BRK ofc)
I've seen plenty worse, sadly, like Mobley straight up for Giannis. This at least gives the Bucks a shot at a team.
But still, no, it's not enough to make up the gap in top player quality. And for Giannis, it doesn't solve the predicament for this season.
I don't see Giannis leaving the Bucks this season, outside maybe a terrible pitch, & the Bucks considering moving on for anything less than Flagg+.

Well it's a good point about Jaylen's deal, and people see the back end of it (or more) as a negative.
I've felt that way for awhile regarding Giannis, I don't really love the back end of his next deal either. People might not agree or care but imo it's a 4-year proposition with Giannis, (2 years on his current deal, 2 years on a new deal), and the following three years on the back end are not appealing imo.

Re: Jrue Stays, Giannis Comes (to Boston, with BRK ofc)
FWIW this board ranked Giannis 6th on trade value and Brown as 25th. So there is certainly a gap, and probably a bigger gap than the OP, but it’s not as crazy an idea as some posters have suggested.

Well that's prob the crux of the discussion right there. Brown/White/Pritchard/any guys they like/picks would be the ask and something closer to the above is the offer and go from there.
Came out in the national media though so fair to figure out what those are.

Oh and now he says of the 4 years he theorizes Giannis would be under contract he wouldn't like the final 3? This isn't serious. This is negging a player you targeted for your team to justify not paying anything close to the cost.
Not sure the point of that on this board. On a Celtics fan board? Probably a huge hit. This board is really going for something else though. If we all just made incredible homer trades all the time, why would anyone participate here?

It's not anything new I've been saying that for years.
So you are arguing you want Giannis at 35/36/37 at super max money? It's not a wild statement to say those might not be great 15-17th season values.

You just posted he has two years left on this deal plus a new deal of two years and you hate the worst 3. Thats got nothing to do with those ages.
So what I think you tried to say was 2 years on this deal then a new 5 year max of which you'd only like the first 2. Okay then. Worded that really poorly, but my bad for not catching that I guess. At this price you could just trade for the 2 years under contract and have come out way ahead. Then don't sign him to an extension if you are afraid of it.
But we don't get to set a fictional extension and a presumed decline to justify the Bucks just giving him to the Celtics now.

To be fair reading Boston fan boards, a contingency of Celtic fans say the same things about Brown. IMO I think he is 25-30 ranked player that is on a contract that is hard to build around unless you already have a top 10 player on a long term contract. He is a very good Robin but can never be Batman.

Re: Jrue Stays, Giannis Comes (to Boston, with BRK ofc)
I think Brown is a very good player, but he plus 2 firsts doesn't equal Giannis.
MVP's are just worth way more than all-stars. Then factor in Brown makes the same money and what are the Bucks getting here?
Imagine someone offering up Desmond Bane and 2 firsts for a healthy Jayson Tatum. You'd act like they insulted your child. Yet the gap in talent here is even larger.
