Giannis Stays East and Sabonis Joins in Brooklyn

Brooklyn Nets get:
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Domantas Sabonis

Milwaukee Bucks get:
3rd Overall Draft Pick
2026 Unprotected Brooklyn Nets First Round Draft Pick
2027 Unprotected New York Knicks First Round Draft Pick
2028 Unprotected Brooklyn Nets First Round Draft Pick
2029 Lowest of Rockets/Suns/Mavericks First Round Draft Pick
2030 Unprotected Brooklyn Nets First Round Draft Pick
2031 Unprotected New York Knicks First Round Draft Pick

Philadelphia 76ers get:
8th Overall Draft Pick
19th Overall Draft Pick
2027 Top 8 Protected Philadelphia 76ers First Round Draft Pick (Returned via Brooklyn)

Sacramento Kings get:
Cam Johnson
Nic Claxton
26th Overall Draft Pick
27th Overall Draft Pick

-Nets get Sabonis/Giannis and figure the rest out later

-On top of outright getting off the salary entirely, the Bucks add a top 3 pick and 6 additional 1sts

-Philly stays in the top 10, adds a second top 20 pick and gets one of their own 1sts returned to widen their asset range should a follow up come about

-If Sabonis wants out and the Kings still want to try to be competitive, this is about as good of a return as you're looking at in that scenario

I don't get the Sabonis inclusion.

Giannis will punch Cam Thomas, it'll be PPV...
I don't like it, keep CamJo and trade Claxton for depth pieces (Lakers deal of Kleber, Vincent, Knect).

Bucks fans will hate it and rightly so
- No centerpiece
- 3rd pick which is widely regarded as a large gamble
- Don't get their own picks - so six years of bad basketball, no lottery reward
- Looks like 5 very late first
- Maybe the NY 31 pick turns into something not completely awful

Don't know how Philly feels, maybe okay

Sac fans will hate it
- Basically two bad picks as the price to dump Claxtons bad deal
- And Cam...

And then, in BK, Giannis + Sabonis with no depth, maybe 1-2 mid level free agents, and late 1st rotation guys? That doesn't look like a competitive team?

OP is bad for Sac. It’s using Sac to gain more value to get Giannis.

These four team trades are outrageous. Maybe I'm too dumb to make sense of it all, but it seems like so much nonsense.

This is just #3 in a weak draft and a bunch of mediocre/bad picks. Cap savings mean nothing to the Bucks in this scenario. Would rather Giannis walk than receive this poo poo platter

This trade is bit flawed for a few reasons.

1: This is simply not enough for Giannis. The only way this could change is if the Bucks really like Ace Bailey. Those other picks simply don't have enough upside, except the maybe the Knicks/Nets picks after 2029. The asset quality simply isn't there unless again they really like Ace Bailey.

2: Why are the 76ers doing this? If the 76ers were to move back, atleast they would want more picks beside 19th pick in the draft and a pick that may not really matter that much anyway. The only the 76ers could entertain doing this as is if get roughly the same package, but also get to dump Paul George contract and also if they really like someone who's projected to be around the 8-10 range. Other than that, I see the 76ers keeping their pick and taking chances with Ace Bailey.

3. I don't see the Kings being overly excited to do this deal. They get 2 very late 1st round picks and 2 guys who do just enough to prevent the Kings from tanking, but not enough to keep in the playoff race. This the definition of a half baked rebuild. At the very least, the Kings need to ability to atleast turn both Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton into picks that have higher future upside than a very late 1st round pick.

4: Valuewise, the Nets are getting too good of a deal here. They turn picks that mostly low value 1st round picks into Giannis and Sabonis. From a fit standpoint on the other hand, this is not very good. Neither Sabonis or Giannis are great shooter,so floor spacing could be a big problem here. While I the idea of the Nets getting Giannis and pairing him with another star, I don't see Sabonis being that other star. They need someone who's a good ball handler and a good shooter. Maybe Darius Garland or if possible Devin Booker? This trade isn't going to happen anyway because I don't see any other team agreeing to do this deal.

This works for Philly. Solid for Milwaukee and Brooklyn. I question the Kings inclusion, but the value for Sabonis isn't too bad.

This trade works for all if SAC is ready to blow it up and MIL wants the pick haul after Giannis says its BK or bust.

Congrats on solid trade idea! This is super creative and can work BUT only under those circumstances.

Ace Bailey with 6 more 1sts especially theseL

2029 Lowest of Rockets/Suns/Mavericks First Round Draft Pick
2030 Unprotected Brooklyn Nets First Round Draft Pick
2031 Unprotected New York Knicks First Round Draft Pick

will be very valuable.

The Nets in 2030 might not be relevant after 3 years of Giannis.
The Knicks have to blow it up in 2 years like BOS has to now so 2031 they might be the worst in the league.
In 2029 the Rockets, Suns, and Mavs might all be bad (unless the Rockets trade for a star soon).
