Memphis trade: Bane, Clarke, 2026 + 2030 1st
Memphis receive: AD
Utah trade: Markkanen
Utah receive: Clarke, Klay, Martin, Marshall, MEM 2026 + 2030 1st, LAL 2029 1st
Dallas trade: AD, Klay, Martin, Marshall, LAL 2029 1st
Dallas receive: Bane, Markkanen
Why for Utah: tank even harder and get picks for Lauri
Why for Memphis: Create an elite 2 way front court to compete now
Why for Dallas: turn AD into younger and more complementing stars for Flagg
Lively
Markkanen
Flagg
Bane
Kyrie
JJJ
AD
Wells
Williams?
Morant
Wasn't sure if AD is worth 1 or 2 1sts more than Bane... so i settled on 1 likely late one next year and a higher variance one further out. I know dallas fans dont like a mid plan, but i also hate the idea of relying on AD to compete now since he might stunt/block flagg's growth. I think Markkanen would be a much better fit for him to grow his game

I don't think a small market and certainly what seems to me like a sensible front office is playing the AD card, it seems like a super risky move... I think you should try a trade where AD ends up with the Sacramento Kings... what would DDR/Valanciunas/Carter be like and a bunch of picks? How many and which ones? Sign me up.

Maybe? mostly made this thread for daoneandonly since he seems fascinated with Bane

Dallas cuts out Utah really really fast here.
Would much rather have Klay/Marshall/Martin/26 MEM 1st/29 LAL 1st/30 MEM 1st than Markannen. Seems like a crazy high price for him.

maybe Dallas should keep the MEM 2026 1st? i might have overshot lauri's value in OP

I think one 1st is enough from Memphis.
And DAL should cut UTA, and UTA would prefer to be cut IMO...

i was debating on 2030 1st only or 2030 1st + 2029 swap or 2030 1st + 2026 1st.. i may have picked the wrong one

2030 is enough.
AD is a much better player, but he's at the end of his prime, Bane is younger and less of a health risk.

I see what Chuck sees. I can’t see justifying adding value to clear salary, when Lauri makes so much. Lauri shouldn’t be worth 3 firsts anymore imo.
The final lineup isn’t young or old... Isn’t really a contender or tanking… It is perfect for what Dallas is going for unfortunately. Utah should lower their asking price or Dallas can just start PJ/Flagg.
For Memphis, I tbink with their good/cheap youth trading for AD is worth it. Couple year run before financial decisions come up.

Thansk for the shot out Go, but if my AD threads are starting to get annoying, you guys can tell me and I'll scale back
But with CHuck on this one, no desire for Lauri, a deal where we get Bane and assets, they get AD would be just fine with me
