NOP: Cam Johnson, #8, #19, #36, '26 2nd

DET: Zion, Herb
NOP:Ivey, Stew, Tobias, #37, '28 CHAorLAC 2nd, 29 MIL 2nd

CJ/White/JB/JT(Olynyk)/FA(Naz?)
Pritchard/Scheierman/Walsh/Olynyk/Tillman

Cade/Herb/Ausar/Zion/Duren

Jrue/Ivey/CamJ/Tobias/Porzingis
Jose/Boston/Hauser/Karlo/Missi
Elf/#7/#19/#(move up)/#8

Pels would have 7, 8, 19, 28, 32, 36 & 37 to be able to move freely in this draft. They also replenish 3 2nds in years they were missing one. They get a gamut of professionals to set the culture and show the way to the youth movement behind them.

Celtics do it to save cap to sign a big, and to get by until Tatum gets back with good expiring role players.

Pistons do it to get a solidified and complete starting unit to move forward together; one adept at both offense and defense and equipped to run it transition too.

Idk what to say about the Zion allegations so i won't, but it obviously plays a factor. Is the risk for DET worth it anyway?

No team is doing this because there's a chance that you won't be able to consolidate and then you6r stuck adding 7 rookies to the roster, none of them being a top 5 pick, in a single off season.

In that instance 4 rooks is fine, 5 is ok.You could probably turn 7 and 19 into 6 easily, maybe or 5. But 7 & 8 are fine already. Moving up to the middle again with most of the rest, or just up in the back half of the 1st where there is movement. 2nds sell one, trade one for a future if you have to. 3 1sts and a good 2nd sounds great to me.

Detroit and Brooklyn are probably not participating in this exercise to obtain seven(!) draft picks for New Orleans. It's fun, but as jbk1234 pointed out, not even realistic for your Pelicans. Start with the Boston deal (which needs work itself, as I do not believe it is realistic to expect New Orleans to take on that much salary for that compensation) and go from there.
