Celtics (-$19.6MM in 25-26 salary)
Jordan Clarkson, $14.3MM, Expiring
Keyonte George, $4.3MM + 1 yr, $6.6MM + RFA
2025 FRP #21
2027 FRP, second best of UTA, MIN, CLE
Why? In what is likely a year in limbo, they get a drastically reduced tax bill plus draft assets, now and in the future. George has shown some scoring and passing ability (but not much else).
Bucks (- $0.3MM in 25-26 salary)
John Collins, $26.6MM, Expiring
Collin Sexton, $19.8MM, Expiring
Kenyon Martin Jr., $8.0MM, Expiring
2025 FRP #5
2027 FRP (LAL, top-4 protected)
2029 FRP, best of UTA, MIN, CLE
2031 FRP (PHX, unprotected)
2025 SRP #43
2030 SRP (LAC, unprotected)
Draft rights to Juhann Begarin (for touch w/ BOS)
Why? Based on the premise that in a Freak trade MIL would prefer expirings and draft assets over prime players. Collins and Sexton are serviceable 4th to 6th men with no long term commitment. Rebuild the draft asset war chest. (I'm not an advocate of the need for a team to reacquire their own picks, but if the Bucks want to flip some of these for them, so be it.)
Jazz Acquire (+ $19.9M in 25-26 Salary)
Giannis Antetokounmpo, $54.1MM + 2 yr, $121.2MM
Derrick White, $28.1MM + 3 yr, $91.7MM
Sam Hauser (via NTMLE), $10.0MM + 3 yr, $35.0MM
Why? The new(ish) regime swings for the fences.

The Celtics are getting absolutely robbed here. Derrick White is a top 35 player in the NBA.
And the Bucks are getting just as robbed.
A big issue for us is that all of our assets other than our own picks and the 2031 Suns pick uhh, suck.
Seriously, the Cs or Bucks don't even get Filipowski? Is this a joke?

Feels really light for White. They get a late 1st and a 2nd best of pick and a lower level prospect? I just can't see Boston letting him go that cheaply and if he was made available I have to think they could do so much better.
Feels light for Giannis too. The 29 1st being a best of is a nice piece. The 31st might be and certainly has the upwards variance they should be seeking, but that's really not enough.
If Utah wants to add two players of this caliber its got to cost them more than this.

Fair enough. The other option with Boston was for Holiday without the draft assets (and maybe minor ones going the other way). It would be another $4.3MM in savings for them this season. I'm hesitant because of his age and how gassed he looked at the end of this year; wanted to take a stab at something better.
The #5 pick now, regardless of how one sees this draft, still has to be considered a premium asset though, right? (You didn't mention it, I thought perhaps you missed it.)

I saw it. It's not a premium asset imo. Its a good one. But this is Giannis. There is no headlining asset and there isn't much volume. I think its really light.

Okay. Thanks for the feedback.

I don’t see it. Boston is going to move Jrue and possibly Brown before White. Brown is just going to get paid so much damn money that I think Boston’s best path is to trade those two guys before next season and bring back some youth and get them a ton of run before Tatum gets back.
