Just read that KD's camp is really interested in the Spurs.
Right now salaries that make sense
Barns & Vassell for KD.
For a win now push, #2 isn't going to push the needle as Harper is projected here or ace bailey.
Would the spurs add #2 in the trade or #14? Would the suns accept #14 or would they push for #2.
Suns could use youth with Dylan Harper to help build that PG position, and Spurs could use KD to win now.
Spurs:
Castle
Fox
Sochan
KD
Wemby
Suns (if they get #2)
Harper
Booker
Vassell - Barnes
Dunn - Barnes
Richards
Suns if they get #14, use that in a trade and add Allen or O'Neal for a Center like Poetl, Kessler, Williams, Robinson, etc. & sign westbrook to vet min
Westbrook
Booker
Vassell - Barnes
Dunn
Center from #14 and filler
Thoughts?

Re: Spurs & Suns (KD Trade)
I'm not a KD to the Spurs advocate, but at this price, sure. 2 is out of the question, 14 could be but I'm losing interest even if it's not unfair value wise. For the record, I believe the Suns are simply using the Spurs to gain leverage with the Rockets. Ultimately I think KD goes to the Rockets or TWolves, not the Spurs.

Re: Spurs & Suns (KD Trade)
Absolutely no way the Spurs include the #2 in a KD trade. Was playing with the Spotrac trade checker and 2 different versions work - as OP suggested Vassell & Barnes for KD. Johnson, Barnes & Sochan for KD also works. I think it is debatable as to whether #14 should be included in either of those deals. Just depends on the trade value of Vassell or Johnson & Sochan. Barnes is a useful player, but really just included for salary matching.

Re: Spurs & Suns (KD Trade)
I think Barnes/Vassell/#14 is about right value wise. Spurs should probably prefer to swap Keldon in for Barnes and add another small asset, but that's whatever really.
#2 is too much and the Suns have no ability to kick back enough value with KD to get it included.
I don't know if KD or the Spurs have interest in the other, but both should imo.

Re: Spurs & Suns (KD Trade)
I would max out at Keldon or Barnes + Vassell and 14. Zero chance SA will include the #2 pick

Re: Spurs & Suns (KD Trade)
Vassell + Keldon + 14
I think SAS will want to keep Barnes as their low usage 5th option - great locker room guy as well.
G - Fox / Castle
G - Harper / Castle
F - Barnes / Champagine
F - Durant / Sochan
C - Wemby / Sochan
Solid 7 man rotation. Fill in around the edges and your sitting pretty.

Re: Spurs & Suns (KD Trade)
Barnes/Vassell+14th pick is maybe the best the Suns can hope for from the Spurs. Anything more than that is starting like a overpay and and including the 2nd pick in any Kevin Durant trade would be a all time level overpay.

KD for Vassell & Barnes isn't crazy, though I'd rather the Spurs moved a few protected 1sts and filler for KD, to hang on to Vassell.
