Stealing / extending other ideas. Atlanta part and lame title are new, afaik
ATL in: Vucevic, Hauser (optional)
ATL out: Niang
CHI in: Porzingis
CHI out: Vucevic, Ayo
BOS in: Niang, 36
BOS out: Porzingis
BKN in: Ayo
BKN out: 36
Chicago tries out KP
Atlanta gets a center and (optional) wing shooter for basically nothing. If the $ is too much they don't have to take Hauser
BKN gets Ayo cheap
BOS saves $32M and gets a pick that frees them to trade it or 32 in a another deal.

As a Bulls fan, I don't hate this, but wouldn't be jumping at it.
Don't see the fit of Vuc in Atlanta. They should be looking at Rim running C's, such as Gafford.

Shhh... I think Vuc isn't the right fit anywhere, lol, but he is productive and available. The non-Atlanta part was out there already with BOS keeping Vuc. I liked the savings, but not having him, so tried to see where else I could send him.
Any thoughts on where he would be a good fit? He's just not the archetype I like, so I struggle with it.

Re: Bullzingis and Vucehawk - ATL/CHI/BOS/BKN
points for the title, well done!
As for Porzingis trades in general, is there any word on his health update? If KP has overcome his long-virus syndrome, especially if he can look great for Latvian team, then great, but until that point it's hard to grasp his trade value. Some of these post viral syndromes last months and months, like 18+ and sometimes they only take weeks before a return to full health, so I just hope KP gets this health issue behind him, but it's very hard to make fair trade proposals if his issue is not resolved.

I think OO is going to get 30+ minutes next year. I don't think a team with Trae wants a 21.5 million dollar backup center that is a defensive liability. I think posters see Atlanta has a big TPE and are forcing players into since they don't want the player and want the money savings. I think Atlanta would take its chances in FA and go after someone like Kornet or Sharpe in FA for a fraction of this cost.

Guilty, lol. To be fair, my other offers have been good and well received by ATL fans. This one I kinda thought was a stretch, but figured I'd send up a trial balloon to get shot down.

They may well do that at center over Vuc, but probably Lt makes sense to use that big TPE on an expiring and useful player like this at some position. They’re like $40M below the tax and have some good pieces in a weaker conference. A guy like Vuc gives them quality minutes and is a good mid season filler salary for a trade.

There were reports that Atlanta tried to get Vuc for Capela at the deadline but the Bulls wanted more. I do think a more defensive, rim running center is ideal but the lack of quality ones available is the issue (or that as budge5 friendly).

DJ, I liked your earlier one with KP and Martin going to the Hawks for Niang and Mann much better than this. Not really interested in Vuc at all for the Hawks.

Yeah, agreed. And I still like that one for BOS as well. Vuc gets you the 3s and availability. But, not the upside. I didn’t think it had a ton of legs, but then I kinda talk myself into it for half a second. Then out if it again,

Re: Bullzingis and Vucehawk - ATL/CHI/BOS/BKN
I don't see why the Bulls have the need or desire to look at Porzingas. They've seen him for a decade. The Bulls are aiming to get beyond the play in but not for just one year. When healthy he just takes minutes from Collins and Smith who they've got, played well to finish the season and could stick around. KP has got to be either playing for his next contract or moving to Europe, he's not the future. If they move Ayo it will be to get something for his expiring contract not as contract filler in a bad move like this.
