OKC saves $, adds a future pick and frees up roster spots
Char goes for the playoffs now
Chi takes a step back to build for the future
OKC sends Dieng to Chi and #24 to Char
OKC gets Port pick
Chi sends Port pick to OKC and Vuc/CWhite/LBall/#12 to Char
Chi gets #4 (only if VJ is there)/Nurkic/Okogie/GWilliams
Char sends #4/Nurkic/Okogie/GWilliams to Chi
Char gets #12/#24/CWhite/Vuc/Ball
Char should be a playoff team with
Ball/Ball
CWhite/Green
Miller/#12
Bridges/Salaun
Williams/Vuc
With the #24 to play with
OKC gets what they need
Chi builds for a better future
Giddey/Ayo
VJ/Huerter
Matas/GWilliams
PWill/Dieng
Collins/JSmith
deep bench of Nurkic/Phillips/Terry/JCarter/#45
Bulls would still have 2026 cap space to play with, and all their own picks plus a very good young core

You’re not going to give up on the idea of getting Nieng and trading the Portland pick are you mate? lol

I struggle to see Charlotte give up 4 for that package.

Trying to make it happen!
I just think Dieng is a great gamble.
This deal makes Char a playoff team

nah I'm not seeing it
Maybe if Chicago gives up something would warrant OKC trading pick #15 instead of #24, i could at least wrap my head around #12, #15, White as a somewhat viable return for the pick, where we would fill out our bench pretty nicely if we found immediate role players with each pick.
I think we'd have to be either pretty low on Ace/VJ to move down this far though

The reality is that if you're a midmarket team in a rebuild that doesn't trust the F.O. to scout and draft well, that absolutely has to be remedied. Save a very weak draft, or a precipitous dop after the top 3, you can't be trading out of a top 5 pick in a rebuild - but even then you have to trust your front office to know that.
Hornets fans shouldn't be open to trading the pick because the expectation is the F.O. will blow it.
