Mavs/Bulls and Hawks/Blazers

MAVS
In:12/P.Williams/J.Carter(or Lonzo)
Out: Washington/Gafford/SRP

Mavs get another lottery pick (they select the best available guard Jaku/Denim/Traore) and get an overpaid 3D Wing, but one that fits into Flagg's timeline.

BULLS
In:Washington/Ayton/SRP(MAVS)/SRP(Blazers)/2 SRP(Hawks)
Out:P.Williams/Carter(or Lonzo)/Vuc(or Collins)/12

Bulls are rearming, in a weakened East, getting very good complements to what they already have and still have a lot of room for improvement, all the guys in their prime, while maintaining flexibility, since they have several expiring (Huerter/Carter or Lonzo/Vuc or Collins etc.)

HAWKS
In: Gafford
Out:2 SRP

I think this is a no-brainer for the Hawks, they get Capela's replacement on the cheap who fits perfectly with T.Young.

BLAZERS
In:Vuc(or Collins)
Out:Ayton/SRP

They cut money (for a guy who I suspect is not part of the long-term plans), and they get a different center archetype.

thoughts? who do the Bulls send Lonzo or Carter? Vuc ona Collins?

I'd rather just keep the 12, Ayton and Washington aren't enough to turn the Bulls into anything worthwhile.

The Bulls best option is to go to the draft and hope they can hit on a superstar.

Edit;

Originally crapped on this because don’t think POR should pay to turn Ayton into Vooch but have reconsidered as trading Ayton denies Cronin the opportunity to screw the pooch and resign him.

I understand, so they chose Clingan to support Ayton?

I think a 2nd to save $10Mish for Portland would work for the team.

Ya, I have always been in on a Vuc for Ayton swap.

I think Vuc compliments DC better with his floor spacing and see Vuc as more likely to accept a bench role than Ayton. I want DC starting next season.

Would hope we could turn Reath into the SRP used here to make Ayton into Vuc. What about this -

PDX OUT - Ayton + Reath + 11
PDX IN - Vuc + Carter (Into TPE) + 15 + 42 + PDX FRP

CHI OUT - Vuc + Carter + PDX FRP
CHI IN - Ayton + Dieng (Into TPE) + 25 + future SRP

OKC OUT - 15 + 25 + 42 + Dieng
OKC IN - 11

MIN OUT - Future SRP
MIN IN - Reath

PDX - Better fit in Vuc to compliment DC, moves down but gets PDX FRP returned.
CHI - Kicks tires in Ayton who may be a great finisher if Giddey PNR, cashes future PDX pick into 25 and a swing on Dieng. Dump Jevon as well.
OKC - consolidates and opens roster slot moving Dieng
MIN - Reath as a cheap floor spacing hedge if Naz gets poached this summer

You didn’t list the 11 as out for Portland and I thought you were delusional at first lol.

Haha - fixed it.

I like Vuc and the shooting he brings especially if we move Simons - which I think HAS to be in the cards this offseason. Simons + RWIII for KCP + JI + Howard (Bought Out) + 16. ORL saves a good deal of money and gets their scoring guard. PDX takes on some salary but gets a higher pick than Simons is worth. Pay something to move Kris into a TPE.

G - Scoot Henderson / Deni Avdija / Jevon Carter / Egor Demin (16)
G - Shadeon Sharpe / Kentavious Caldwell-Pope / Cedric Coward(15)
F - Toumani Camara / Matisse Thybulle / Cedric Coward (15) / Rayan Rupert
F - Deni Avdija / Jerami Grant / Jonathan Isaac / Kris Murray
C - Donovan Clingan / Nikola Vucevic / Jonathan Isaac

2-Way - BPA Taken #44

The original deal, no. Not giving up Williams and #12 to take on Ayton's bigger money. That ties their hands tighter than with Vuc and in a year they have Ayton maybe walking and have no sophomore to move into the rotation. Not all that interested in 4 SRP's, that's not the way to build out of the play in.

Now this is better, the Bulls take the biggest contract in Ayton, but get a sure FRP over the maybe that reverts to PORT while maintaining #12.The if Ayton stays or goes the Bulls have 2 sophomores to push into the rotation. Move on from Carter, makes one obsessed Dieng fan happy even if he doesn't play anyway as Jalen Smith becomes a backup 4.

If Portland sends #11 to Chicago, I want my future pick in return. How do we make that happen?

I would be thrilled to get rid of Vuc/Williams for Ayton expiring. Some of you on the Bulls board have this weird Williams love/Ayton hate and it makes no sense. Even if Ayton is the worst version of himself and averages 2pts on 30% shooting it would still be a bargain as we would be off Williams 18m per year contract and can make much better use of that cap space for the team. Besides that you have Matas/Terry/Phillips who can all make better use of the minutes that Williams plays then he can.

like the original deal i would love Washington/Ayton on the team in place of Vuc/Williams.
BULLS
In:Washington/Ayton/SRP(MAVS)/SRP(Blazers)/2 SRP(Hawks)

How to Portland fans feel about a Nurk reunion?

Nurk and Jeffries to Portland
Ayton to Chicago
Vuc and Carter to Charlotte

Think that leaves no second out of Portland and saves a bit more money.. But you let stuck with Nurk again?

No idea what the value looks like between Charlotte/Chicago. Somewhere between 33 to Chicago and a 33/45 swap?

Chicago gets a lot better with Ayton/PJ in.. But they really shouldn’t be giving up a lottery pick, despite the value being right imo.
