AD to Chi

Post#1 » by pipfan » Sat Jun 7, 2025 4:30 pm

I know, Bulls' fans won't like this (and I don't either)
But, a healthy AD could make Chicago a real threat in the East
This assumes Matas gets better, and Giddey/White continue their fine play from after the ASB.

Vuc/PWill/JCarter/#12/2026 unprotected Bulls' 1st/Port pick for AD

Dallas saves A TON of $, they add the #12 right away and add 2 future picks. Also, PWill has been productive in the past and is still young. He could be an awesome 3rd forward moving forward for the Mavs. They could move Gafford or Vuc for other assets, easily. Gafford for Maxi/Knecht?

Bulls go for it
White/Ayo
Giddey/Ball
Matas/Huerter
AD/Phillips
JSmith/Collins
Terry is the 11th man, plus the #45

I just can't see this. As you say they would have to move Gafford/Vuc for something else and so thats no value add. The Portland pick isn't nearly enough to offset Williams so this now becomes 12 and one future pick for AD plus Dallas being stuck with Williams who is behind 4 other players himself.

This wouldn't interest me at all. If all AD can return is something this light, Dallas should just keep him and hope Kyrie returns and try to win. But i got to think a contender would still give more value to add him.

Yea you don't get to dump Pwill that easily. Vuc serves zero purpose on a team without his buddy Luka pushing for it

Just seems like other teams would offer more.

And then you changed it from the 2027 Chicago fire to the 2026 Chicago first to offer even less upside for Dallas when Dallas shouldn’t do either version..

Chicago not being interested in pushing in for AD.. that’s fair, doesn’t mean AD’s value should be this low though... They should be trading their vets and tanking, unfortunately they don’t want to do that either from looks of it.
