SAC: Draymond, Podz
GSW: Jrue, Monk, Jonas, #28 (BOS), #32 (BOS), '26 CHA 2nd(SAC)
BOS: Moody, Hield, #42 (SAC)
Lavine/Demar/Murray/Dray/Sabonis
Carter/Podz/Keon/I.Jones/FA
Steph/Jrue/Jimmy/Trayce/Jonas - Monk 6th man, 28, 32, sign FAs
White/Buddy/JB/Tatum/Porzingis
Pritchard/Moody/Hauser/FA/Tillman 41, 42
JD/Schieirman/Walsh/Norris/Queta
SAC does it to pair Dray at 4 with Sabonis at 5.
GSW does it to retool for a Steph/Jimmy window.
BOS does it to replace Jrue with cheaper more easily moved production.

I know you love these huge deals mate, but think smaller. Then its easier to see the issues.
Like here you have Monk/JV worth as much as Draymond/Podz and there is just no chance that is remotely true. Kings just siphon so much value out of the deal from the jump.

I agree the kings are getting too much value here.
I think because Draymonds production is declining people sometimes miss his value, but if you take a look at his defensive rating he is one of the best in the league still.

This is not salvageable at all from a Warriors perspective.

I know thats not equal. I had the Kings giving up 2 2nds, but that isn't enough as yall say. A first instead, and Devin Carter going back to the Warriors make a difference?

No. Draymond is essential to the Warriors. If the goal is to win with Steph/Butler trading him doesn't make sense, they can't get better on the court doing this and you don't rebuild around two guys in their late 30s lol.

Warriors are never trading Draymond while Steph is on the team

Draymond production is declining but he is still ranked top 10 in RAPM last year

I mean yeah. Trading Draymond is a non-starter, in that there's no way trading him ends up with us being better given his trade value vs. his on-court performance.
If Boston is really willing to give up Jrue for Moody/Hield and swapping around some 2nd round picks, then we could find a way to make that happen without giving up Draymond.

i'd take the deal easily even if you kept podz lol.
I think GS either tries to get a KD type, or just runs it back with minor changes.

Ok. New question: What is the optimal build to put around Steph/Jimmy/Dray for a short window? Gimme 2 more guys or type-guys. Or is Buddy and/or Moody already good enough to hold down the 2? Is the big they need a FA? Do they need to trade to make themselves better, or nah? I want to think about some Warriors (& Clips, & MIL) stuff, because im almost positive they aren't winning chips anymore as constructed.

Winning championships is super hard. OKC is a juggernaut and won't be losing anything off their roster and most of their rotation should get better next year.
If its title or bust, GSW likely can't succeed. But they need more defensive wings who can shoot well enough to stay on the court and they need a center upgrade. They can definitely achieve both of those goals. But they won't be title favorites no matter what they do.

Stretch 5 and volume scorer to pair with Steph in the backcourt are the priorities imo. Monk is a name that’s been discussed, losing Dray in the deal is one step forward, two steps back

Barring some insane edge case like Giannis asking to be traded to GS, I don't think we're touching the Steph-Jimmy-Dray trio. That's the foundation. Those three have a lot of strengths but some pretty clearly defined issues as well, shooting being front and center. Kerr loves skilled guys who can shoot, pass and defend, and definitely has a preference for vets over young guys.
Ideally you'd like a stretch 5 who can hold his own on D and a 2 guard who's fast enough to be a primary POA defender while also being able to hold his own shooting-wise as well. In a perfect world I'd love to find a way to sign Brook Lopez and bring back Melton, and then use Bird rights to keep GP2 and Loon off the bench
Lopez/TJD/Looney
Draymond/Post/Gui
Butler/Moody/Sion James (2nd round pick)
Melton/Hield/GP2
Curry/Podz
That's my 30 second ideal realistic GSW offseason

I would. Spacing would be rough but man the defense of a Dray/Herb combo would be stifling

The Warriors aren't likely to move Draymond, for both nostalgia reasons and because they're trying to win now. The Celtics are also getting hosed here. They can find better ways to cut money.
