KD/Giannis to Toronto

My brother is a huge Raptors Fan and he insists that it is possible to get KD and Gainnis at the same time to Toronto.
I suggested that I ask the real GM forum how realistic that is.
If this is not working under the Cap and CBA restrictions please let me know.
His offer:
Toronto Out:
Pöltl/Quickley/Barnes/RJ Barrett/Dick
Pöltl + Quickley to Suns
Barnes/RJ Barrett/ Dick to Bucks + FRPs and Pick Swaps
Is that even possible?

It's not possible. Aside from Toronto not having enough assets, the biggest blocker is neither KD nor Giannis are likely to be interested in playing there. The team isn't talented enough once you look at what would be left after such a hypothetical trade, and KD strikes me as being very uninterested in playing in a market like Toronto.

Why not Toronto? (not the team, the city)
What markets do you think he is interested in and how do you know this?

I think it's obvious from following his career. After leaving the team who drafted him he's gone for all the classic teams that most players are keen on; big markets and warm climates. Toronto is a big city, but is freezing and has had limited appeal to NBA players in the past. I don't think KD is going to buck that trend.

I don't think its obvious at all. I think its pretty lazy actually to just assume all players want NY/LA/Miami.
But you talked like you actually knew something.

I feel pretty confident 37 year old KD isn't looking to close out his NBA career in Toronto.

If he was able to play with Giannis, he might.

The team would be KD, Giannis, and nothing, even assuming it was possible (it's not).

Getting either is ambitious. Both is possible financially, but beyond unlikely.

They have the assets to theoretically pull it off, but the team would be completely gutted with a one or two year window.
You’re looking at Giannis, KD, Ingram, IQ, Shead, Walter and minimum deals with no real center. They could use the mid level to find a 5 or try to sign NAW or someone else.

Ingram just chose to go there, but he isn’t in that Giannis or KD tier admittedly.

Ingram went there because nobody wanted to pay him, not even his own team.

"as NBA insider Jake Fischer reported Ingram turned down an even larger deal from the Pelicans.
The Pelicans offered Ingram a four-year $160M contract which he declined before accepting the Raptors deal later down the road."

Two other teams wanted to pay him, excluding New Orleans who offered 4/160.
Atlanta, Toronto, New Orleans and a 4th team. That’s straight from Rich Paul.
He had 4 options and chose Toronto. Simple as that.

I don't really trust Jake Fischer. He often seems to be a vehicle for one side of a dispute to get their story out into the public. 'Later down the road' is also exceptionally vague. That could have been much earlier, when his value was higher, and with conditions in it. It seemed clear that the reason that the Pelicans were trying to move him was because they didn't want to pay him.

Who cares about Jake Fisher. His agent is literally telling you exactly what happened and what the options were. You’re just ignorant.

What about Marc Stein? He said it too.
Or Rich Paul who said it was between 4 teams at the deadline and he chose the Raptors.
There was plenty of chatter about Atl making an offer for him.
But you believe what you want

We don't know the context of what these trade offers were, and what contracts other teams were offering.

A Toronto with Giannis is a fundamentally different team than the current one...
