I think Wash should go hard after the #2. They could really use a star, and Harper seems like he could be a franchise guy to pair with Sarr
SA needs a solid 3 man, and they add depth around Wemby
Hou adds 2 rookies. These cheap guys will help them provide depth in the coming years
SA sends #2 to Wash and #14 to Hou
SA gets #6, #10 and Bilal
Wash sends #6 to SA with Bilal and #18 to Hou
Wash gets #2
Hou sends #10 to SA
Hou gets #14/#18
Hou could draft Sorber at #14 and maybe Coward at #18
SA has 3 guards, adds a SF, drafts Malauch at #6 and Noa at #10
Fox/Castle
Vassell/Castle/Johnson
Bilal/Noa/Johnson
Sochan/Barnes
Wemby/Malauch
Wash gets their long term PG and spends the upcoming season on developing the Harper/Sarr combo (with some other young guards). They'd get a top 5 2026 stacked lotto and have a ton of cap space to play with as well

Way too good for Washington. Bilal has barely shown he's a solid rotational guy, so not much value with him and 18 to move up to 6

This has been done before, but Houston and Washington are both underpaying here.
Spurs shouldn't be breaking down #2 into 3 smaller assets.

The Wizards don't have enough to trade for #2, without doing something insane (and their GM is too smart for that).

There's really nothing to discuss here from the Spurs side. The Wizards have nothing that the Spurs want to order to move up to the 2nd pick(Dylan Harper). They hardly even have enough to move up to the 3rd pick without including one of Alex Sarr or Bilal.

What is that roster for the Spurs? Are you just trying to accumulate as many developmental guys you can who can’t shoot?
Spurs are going to draft Harper and otherwise make win now moves. Castle looks ready to contribute on a playoff team, Harper will be by year 2 at least. These guys, who knows?

Wiz been down bad for 50 years. Lottery did not favors again this year. But they have #6, #18, one guy who was first team all rookie last year and one guy who was second team. They have next year's pick and several upcoming pick swaps with Phoenix.
There may be something there with Durant to SA, pick swaps back to Phoenix, and something going back to DC. As a Wiz fan, I'm hoping that something back to DC might be Harper. Would need more than Durant going to San Antonio - maybe one or two of those swaps (maybe Bub Carrington goes to Phoenix?), #6 from DC, etc.
Might be hoping against hope. Either that or Silver comes down and, by executive decree, rights the lottery injustice.

Washington's whole team isn't worth the #2 to be honest. The difference between Harper and whoever is available at 6 is more valuable than any player on the Washington roster. There's nothing here.
There's no reason for the Spurs to trade the #2 pick for anything other than an established star. Adding two lesser talents instead of one great talent really never works out. Spurs should take Harper, be happy they got him, and go with the good problem of figuring out how to play Fox, Castle and Harper.

Pretty much this. The only way to make the Spurs do this would be an offer so insane that the Wizards would never do it, e.g. 7 years of swaps and picks including their pick this year, and throw Bilal in too. The Wizards have a sensible GM now, so no way they'd do it, bit that's the only sort of offer the Spurs would consider.

If Harper looks to be a star material the Spurs will draft him. They are not gonna be like, oh we already have a star so other teams should take Harper. The only way the Spurs trade down is if they think the non-Flagg options at top 3 suck.
It's not like they don't have enough assets to add complimentary pieces, either.
