BOS/DAL/HOU

Trade works on spotrac, and is essentially combining two deals I'd like to see the Celtic's make. The first is the obvious Jrue to DAL trade, and the 2nd is White to HOU for Reed, #11, and Brooks. I don't think the 2nd trade is realistic, but still think HOU can be a middle man team who would like to pick up some solid vets.
Celtics in- Gafford, Hardy, and Reed Sheppard
Dallas in- Jrue and #28
Hou in- PJ Washington and Hauser and BOS 2026 Swap or #32
The Celtics save 11.5 mil, given that they are trading Hauser into an exception. Reed and Hardy are cost controlled contracts for a while, and if they don't want to bring Gaff back, he expires at the end of the year. Reed is obviously the big win here, and I like him on this team given his athleticism and shooting ability. Celtics get a center to hopefully replace KP, and a nice bench scorer in Hardy. All these dudes play well without Tatum, and with him next year. All they need to do is trade KP for a solid 3/4 swing and the team is ready to go.
Gafford- Al - Queta
Kp- Baylor (Tatum)
Brown
White- Hardy
Reed- PP
Solid rotation.
DAL gets their defensive PG that can move to SG when KI comes back, and gives them a solid veteran nucleus to surround Flagg with. The Jrue idea has been beaten to death, so I won't go into it too much, but in this scenario the Celtics throw them #28 because we are taking back Hardy who does have SRP value. This gives them another player on Coopers timeline, and aligns all their big contracts with rookie deals. Hardy PJ and Gafford have all been replaced in the rotation with MAx, Flagg, and AD, so turning all of them into Jrue is obviously a solid move. His contract really isn't that bad, especially if Flagg is as good as people say, he is cost controlled throughout all of it. This also gives them another FRP to potentially get off of Klay, Naji, or Martins contracts, which would be the next logical step.
Lively- #28
AD- Martin
Flagg- Klay
Max- Naji
Jrue- Dinwiddie (Kyrie)
HOU is giving up the best prospect, but they are getting a versatile wing in PG, and most importantly they are finally getting some shooters on that roster. Hauser is one of the best shooters in the NBA, and PJ is also a solid guy from behind the arc. They don't blow any assets on a potential superstar trade, and make it easier to add someone like Amen or Jabari to a deal for a legit star player. The only part of this deal that I question would be a pick swap with the Celtics or giving them #32. The swap might be too much, and that asset might have to go to DAL, I just value Reed more than most, and still think he has that #3 pick aura. Hauser has FRP value to me given his contract and shooting/experience, and PJ also has solid value to me as a 2way swing, so maybe they think that's enough and #32 goes to DAL to help offload a contract. Either way, HOU's involvment in this would be to bring in a difference maker using Brooks, Jabari, Cam, and other pieces. People have speculated Trae, KD, Giannis, ect. We'll see, but this trade gives them the shooting they need, experience, and still the ability to make more moves if need be. They need to consolidate for a guard obviously, but they have the assets to do it, and still have a lottery pick in a stacked guard draft.
