ATL/BOS/DAL/SAC - Jrue know what it's gonna be

DAL: Jrue for Gafford, Hardy, Martin, Prosper
ATL: Gafford, Hardy, 28 for 22
SAC: Martin, Prosper, 32 for 42
BOS: 22, 42 for Jrue, 28, 32
Dallas gets Jrue for Gafford and guys they don't necessarily mind parting with.
ATL adds Gafford to their big rotation and takes a chance on Hardy for dropping 6 spots.
SAC gets 2 defensive players for their new direction, moves up 10 spots and probably a prospect tier in the draft.
BOS: Saves a ton of money, and moves up but also back in the draft.
I'm assuming gut reaction is BOS owes more, but to who? It seems like everyone else is getting a pretty good deal here.
I also did it with Naji instead of Martin and think it works better for SAC, slightly worse for DAL.

This is hard to read since some teams have their outgoing first and some have their incoming first.
For example, picks 42 and 22 are on both ends of multiple trades.

Atlanta is not trading down if they are eating hardys contract too. Gafford is also not worth a late 1st (delta between 28 and 22) on his own into capspace. Boston stealing all the value here
Take out 22 altogether and its closer

Whoops, fixed. I had 3 of 4 consistent but whiffed on the BOS one.

Atlanta shouldn't have to eat Hardy here.

This is vastly over-valuing Gafford/Hardy and then having Boston suck all that value.
I also think the Sacramento part sucks. Moving up 10 spots in the 2nd is fine but not for two players they shouldn't value.
I am starting to come around to the idea Jrue is at worst neutral and teams would pay something of value for him, but not at the cost of a 0 income salary and moving up in the draft.

Yeah, the Hardy add to ATL was a push the boundary thing. BOS could definitely take him.

Pretty hard disagree here. You get a proven rotation big for moving down 6 spots in a draft where you already have a lottery pick. They have the space under the tax and Gafford would fit great.

You will have to take Niang too then if you want them to move down so they can use their TPE elsewhere for value
I also think Dallas needs to trade Klay in any Jrue trade. They need to dump even more salary to get under 2nd apron now after the OP.
If not including Klay then OP should be
Atlanta out: Niang, 22
Atlanta in: Gafford, 28
Sacramento out: 42
Sacramento in: Martin, Prosper, 32
Dallas out: Gafford, Prosper, Martin, Hardy
Dallas in: Jrue, 42
Boston out: Jrue, 28, 32
Boston in: Hardy, Niang, 22

Huh, maybe I am overrating Gafford and Martin. But I like both. Would definitely consider both positive.
Gafford could play on pretty much any team as either starting big or first big off the bench.
Martin is a pretty solid bench wing as well.
Hardy to me is kinda whatever, the money's not that much and he could get better.
Prosper is just a flier, and cheap.

Gafford is worth more than a late 1st. Players at this range is nowhere near starter level. But Boston gets too much. Jrue is paid through 40 and is already regressing with no playmaking skills to offer with.

We'll just disagree on the Gafford / ATL part. I think they're getting a great deal and don't need to be re-compensated for using the TPE to take on a quality big. I think they like Niang as well, so having him go out would be a negative.
On Dallas, the original salaries have DAL taking on $587k less money.

3 extra roster hold cost them 4.2M

Atlanta's big TPE could provide them with a nice asset or two since they are one of a few teams that can take in more than the MLE in salary this offseason. I think they would be hesitant to use it this early before exploring options in FA to maybe get paid to use it or get back a better player than Gaff. If no good options come then Gafford into the TPE for some 2nds would be my guess on how they would value Gaff. He would be a 20 minute backup center there, I don't think they would be in a rush to secure him before the draft.

He is worth expiring and late 1st, not absorbed into TPE/cap space and late 1st.

Fair. I'm not sure they end up with a better asset, but any of the deals involving 25 draft picks are less likely to happen than ones later in FA.

I'm actually good with this version.
I think Niang can be re-flipped into MLE for nada/late 2nd. But I still maintain ATL would rather keep him.
I'd probably say BOS still gets 42, but that's just a Jrue valuation difference we won't resolve.

Switch it to marshall instead of martin for the kings and wer are happy to absorb some salary here. I don't think that martin is worth absorbing straight up.

Dallas keeps 42 and sends Marshall instead of Martin.
BOS takes Niang so ATL keeps their big TPE for FA.
Atlanta out: Niang, 22
Atlanta in: Gafford, 28
Sacramento out: 42
Sacramento in: Marshall, Prosper, 32
Dallas out: Gafford, Prosper, Marshall, Hardy
Dallas in: Jrue, 42
Boston out: Jrue, 28, 32
Boston in: Hardy, Niang, 22
