KD to Minny, with Chi

Suns send KD to Minny
Suns get Randle, Vuc, Dillingham, #17
Bulls send Vuc to Suns and #45 to Minny
Bulls get Conley (buyout) and #31
Minny sends Conley/#31 to Chi and Randle/Dillingham/#17 to Suns
Minny gets KD, #45
Chi saves $ and gets a much better 2nd round pick
Suns get 2 vet, expiring starters, an interesting prospect in Dillingham and the #17
Minny goes for it. KD would be a HUGE boost to their offense and go for a title

The Suns can't take in more money than they send out.

I don't think Minny wants to move Conley if they can avoid it.

This also leaves Minny without a PG. Neither Edwards nor KD are a substitute for having a good PG.

I was wondering about that
Maybe Dillingham to BRK, and the #19 to Suns?
I don't think Chi would want Dillingham, but they could send the #12 to Suns, and Chi gets #17/Dillingham (and not the #31)?

I think if he ends up with the WOLVES, they would have to get rid of Gobert and Randle... I imagine something like..
Gobert/Randle+ 17 SUNS
Richards/KD+29 WOLVES
Allen to 3 Team..
Maybe the WOLVES will look to upgrade at center next? I don't know, maybe Toronto lands Maluach in the draft.
Richards/Dillingham/Donte for Poelt/Shead?
Maybe the MAVS..?
Donte+Richards for Gafford+ O-Max or2 SRP?
According to what I read, they promised Conley they wouldn't trade him when he extended it... I guess they want to keep their word.

I’ve heard a couple national talking heads spin CHI into the deal, in three ways.
1. Vucevic, as you mentioned. The Suns need a center, MIN has one, but only one. If PHX demands Gobert, then MIN might look to Vucevic as a replacement.
2. Jalen Smith and Lonzo Ball. Exchanging Randle, or whatever Randle brings from a third team.
3. Lonzo Ball alone. Zac Lowe included a NAW S&T for Ball in his recent fake trade, and there have been rumors mentioned locally of the Wolves interest in Ball.
All of these deals generally have CHI adding a little salary to get both MIN and PHX to take back less than they send out, so they don’t trigger the first apron.

Correct. My source in the Wolves told me that when Mike Conley extended, one of his main desires was to stay in Minnesota to finish his career. He didn’t want to move his family. Tim Connelly gave him a promise that he wouldn’t trade Mike unless he was wanted to go. If Mike was ready to retire, he would make sense to include in this deal, but he recently said he wants to play for two more years.
Mike also serves as a leader on the team, and Ant particularly listens to him, so he serves as an amazing role model and investment in Ant.
Financially, Conley’s deal would be a clear choice to include in a trade, but it’s unlike to happen in real life.

I figured Conley might agree, if the Bulls buy him out and Conley could go wherever he wanted (I don't think he could go back to Minny-not sure?)

Maybe in the buyout process he gets promised an assistant coaching gig here ?

I believe the CBA says a player who is traded and bought out can’t return for one year. However, that would be the remainder of this NBA year, and he could re-sign as a free agent a couple weeks after a draft night trade?
Are these shenanigans allowed?

That's what I thought might be possible-but not sure. If that were the case, he'd get his same $ (buyout/resign) and help his team. Or, if he has to wait a certain period he could just hang out in Minny until they can resign him.
Looks like KD wants a warm weather city anyway (Hou, Heat, SA)

It never felt right, so I looked into the shenanigans, thanks to the great Larry Coon.
If the player was traded between seasons (i.e., from the first day after the Finals to the last day prior to the start of the next regular season), it cannot reacquire the player prior to the end of the next season. If he is waived by his new team, then he cannot re-sign with his original team until the one-year anniversary of the trade, or until the July 1 following the end of his contract, whichever comes first
