KD to Heat, w/ Bulls
Reports say KD wants SA, Hou, Heat-and those teams make sense
Also saw something about SA no longer being interested
Hous makes sense, of course, but so do the Heat.
Miam sends Rozier/#20 to Chi and DRobinson/JJJ/Jovic/2030 unprotected 1st/2031 swap to Suns
Miami gets KD
Chi sends Vuc/Ayo to Suns, along with #45
Chi gets Rozier/#20
Suns send KD to Heat
Suns get Vuc/Ayo/JJJ/Jovic/DRobinson/2030 Heat 1st/2031 Heat swap
Heat go for it. I think this team could easily win the East next year
Herro/Mitchell
Wiggins/Herro
KD/Highsmith
Bam/Anderson
Ware/Bam
sign vets for depth
Bulls pick the best C available at #20 (after taking Newell or Fleming at #12) and restock their young bigs. Still do my Port pick for #24/Dieng as well
Suns add quantity for quality. Not a homerun deal, but if Hou balks, this could be the best offer out there. Vuc starts at C, I'd start Ayo with Booker and keep Beal as 6th man. JJJ/Jovic/DRobinson would all play off the bench
Things are bleak in the Valley, but this could be the best outcome for them

Re: KD to Heat, w/ Bulls
I'm thinking something like this... Rozier/Robinson/Jazquez/Ware + 20 for KD... They cut Robinson, who only has $10 million guaranteed...
and send Rozier + 29 to the Wizards for Smart + 40... maybe to the Bulls for Vucevic?
The Suns finally get a couple of prospects and save a good amount of money.

I'm not giving up 2 firsts for a 37 year old Durant, especially not an unprotected one that far out.

I don't Miami can or should mortgage picks so far into the future for Durant. 3 1sts and JJJ/Jovic is a massive overpay no other team seems even close to offering in terms of assets.
I'd be fine with either of the following packages:
Rozier, Robinson, Ware, Jaquez
OR
Wiggins, Rozier, Jovic, #20 or a future 1st swap

I would not be okay including Ware. Most Heat fans wouldn't. I get that you're not high on him. I just think the potential is there and trading him for a 37 year old is really foolhardy.

Miami has mortgaged picks into the future for Dragic and Rozier. So please, they’ll do it for KD.

Once again, Miami has given up more unprotected 1sts for the likes of non All Stars.

Re: KD to Heat, w/ Bulls
Yeah this feels like a no brainer for the Heat with Rozier in the deal if their goal is to win.
Not sure how they are looking to retool though. They’ve never been big on picks and owe the 26 1st to OKC, so losing games next year doesn’t help.

That's how I see it. My package (Rozier/DRob/JJJ/Jovic/#20/2030 unprotected 1st) is only 2 picks, plus JJJ/Jovic (both probably have minor + value)
They keep Ware and play a huge lineup of Herro/Wiggins/KD/Bam/Ware, with enough bench, and that team could easily make the Finals

If that's the best offer the Suns get, I don't think KD is going anywhere this summer.
Vuc is sort of a weird player, you need to put specific pieces around him to make a team effective. This deal surrounds him with other defensively challenged pieces.
I mean the Heat walk away pretty for two years though!

I'm comfortable with my opinion. If the Heat choose to go ahead and do it, they're wrong. It would be a terrible move. I stand by that.

Re: KD to Heat, w/ Bulls
It was bad when the Bulls got stuck adding Rozier to Carter and Terry on the bench which would eliminate any chance at bringing Jones back and no they really don't need #45 but the you had to keep pounding the ball into the floor and bring up Dieng for the 137th time.

If Ware stays in Miami, I hope I am wildly wrong on his potential!

My big thing is I don't want to see both Wiggins and Ware go out for Durant.
If it were Ware, I think Miami can easily find a replacement for Ware over the 2-3 year window Miami would have with Durant (Brook Lopez, Myles Turner, Clint Capela, Horford, Looney, Plumlee, Tristan Thompson, Kornet, Achiuwa).
If Miami sends out Wiggins, he's tougher to replace, but Bruce Brown, Hardaway Jr, Taurean Prince, and Torrey Craig would be options. Or there would potentially be more minutes for Jaquez. If Miami still had Robinson and Jaquez to send out, they could potentially trade for a player that fit better.
I don't care for Wiggins' game, but Miami could potentially swap him for another solid player that fit better in Miami if Ware were included instead of Ware.

Fair point.
I don't see Miami giving 5 young players/draft picks for Durant, and I don't think any team involved in Durant deals will either. I think we're likely to see 2-3 young players/assets go to the Suns depending on the quality of the players.
The situations aren't exactly the same, but Miami only got 1 pick (top-10 protected) for Butler and Doncic only garnered a young player and one 1st (I think it is unprotected).
My expectation is Miami will have to give slightly more than it received for Butler.

If the Heat aren’t trading Ware then a future unprotected pick has to be included. If the Heat aren’t willing to trade anything of value idk why they’re being mentioned. Shams is smart enough to know when he’s being used.

Do you think Miami would be willing if their goal is to put the best team around Herro/Bam?
