There is no need for Naji in Detroit. We have Holland Thompson at the three. Maybe a 2025 first with him to get value.

First I don't see how the Bulls take in $39M and send out $21M. I might not play the S&T game that well.

There's caution from the Bulls. Gafford is an expiring contract, what the Bulls are going to have to see is can they get enough shooters on the floor with him, and right now I'd say No. The 2026 summer questions will be with Collins and Gafford expiring have they given Jalen Smith enough work so that he can play a bigger role in his contract year or does he feel he's been wasted, walk in and ask for a trade.Who do they keep and for how much?

They are betting a lot on Kuminga, the money and does he really bring the talent and put it to good use. They don't need him filling the stat sheet, they need him to join the team that finished last seas, moving the ball, letting Giddey and White control things and he needs to see Buzelis as the face of the franchise, Don't hold him back!

Yes Vuc needs to move on but I don't think this is the best way

Yeah the Bulls accept and don't let the other teams think too hard about it.

I assume at least a first rounder would have to be outgoing somewhere.

I don't think GS could build a credible roster under the 1st apron with KP's salary (and the need for depth given overall age and KP's health and this deal caps the Warriors at the 1st apron.

The value looks very good for Chicago except I think they're overpaying Kuminga by $5-10M/yr.

The pistons will operate as an over the cap team and won’t have space to do this.

Yeah, that's the problem. The Warriors can probably live capped at the second apron, but not the first.

Use the TPE to take in Gafford. Obviously the rest of the trade doesn’t work for GSW with cap restraints and hard capped. Plus they can’t that much back. All sorts of wrong

Dallas passes. Jrue is not a PG. Jrue is regressing and paying til 40 and is on ugly contract. Gafford is in career year and is leader in blocks and attitude on the team. Marshall is not a random throw-in. Boston needs to pay more. The Mavs is definitely more interested in White who is a PG and in his prime.

If Dallas trades for Jrue, it's more likely with Klay, Martin and Hardy as returning piece. At least, this give Dallas reason to pull the trigger.

Looks like we are giving up space (or a TPE) -- that is not nothing. Marshall is a decent player, and I'd agree he's positive. He can defend 4s better than any 3 on our roster not named Ausar. Naji Marshall also has questionable shooting, and looks to me like a career backup.

If Naji could shoot better, maybe DET would pony up a SRP or 2, but as is, trading into space/TPE is probably closer to fair value for Naji.

Naji is a bad fit for Detroit and he should return a 2nd if taken to cap space, not exactly a deal breaker...

Remember that under this CBA, you can use the MLE as a trade exception, so they could do this if they wanted and should still have have plenty of room under the tax with any reasonable contracts given to Dennis/Beasley.

Not saying they should use their exception for this, just that its possible.
