Magic trade: Isaac/Carter Jr/Howard/#25
Magic get: KP/32
Celtics trade: KP/32
Celtics get" Carter Jr/top 55 protected 2nd
Kings trade: 27 CHA 2nd
Kings get: Isaac/#25
4th team trades: top 55 protected 2nd
4th team gets: Howard/27 CHA 2nd
so 4th team is any team that can take on Howard's $5M. They get a look at a young guard and get a 2nd from a team that has struggled to win
Kings get a defensive forward and a late 1st by using their exception and room under the tax. There are some outs with JI's contract so if his health problems pop back up they aren't on the hook for $60M.
Celtics save a ton of real money and get an affordable center locked up
Magic have pushed in, so now they go for one more big upgrade(albeit one with some health risk) and pair KP with Goga and possibly a re-signed Mo Wagner. They get back a high 2nd to add a cheap roster piece as well.

Assuming KP is healthy, it's interesting. Overall I think Celtics probably say no -- they would want more in return for KP (and there are interested teams) They probably get a pick rather than give one.
I think the Kings make out a little too well here, JI has a low-risk deal compared to what he is/brings. I think a team would offer compensation for him rather than taking him WITH compensation. To further illustrate, there are not many good FA's this year, but Nets could trade away Claxton for value and slide JI into his rotation slot

Agree with nykballa2k4. I don't see why a team get's Isaac and #25. He's a good player, and his contract isn't super onerous or anything. And, ORL fans have been talking about how much healthier he is and will be even more so next year.

I'd rather BOS just get the full return from ORL at that point and work their own side deal with Isaac and Jett.

Interesting that we have two posters seeing value in Isaac but none in Carter Jr. I definitely did not have that.

IDK for the Celtics. It certainly saves ownership real money in repeater tax for 2025/26….probably around 100K. How ever adds 40-60K in pure salary over the following 3 years making it tougher to get out of the tax. There would need to be an additional move involving Jrue that saves at least what WCJ is making in 26/27 for this to really save money.
Regardless I don’t think the Cs need to attach a pick here. They are sending the better player with less overall salary.

I didn't mean to imply WCJ doesn't have value. I like him, and feel it's fair value back for KP. Not mentioning him didn't mean he's not valued.

I think WCJs contract is potentially a burden. I am unsure of that but I don’t know if he’s a 19 million dollar player. I have always kind of liked him, but he hasn’t really shown the potential I thought he had.

Locking this up. Didn't see tooskies thread but this is basically a rip off of that only with the Kings instead of the Hawks. Guess I should have read the board before posting this lol

Appreciate the feedback. Looks like I was on the wrong track with this version anyway.
