With Grimes I feel like a wing is a better target if Philly trades McCain and/or 3. I like the idea of Tre Murphy for them.

Same as the other thread. Not taking on PG’s contract to move up two spots. There isn’t even a consensus on who will go #3-#8. I’m down to send the #21 pick but not the #5.

And the 76ers will simply hang up the phone at that point. They're not moving 18 spots just to trade PG contract.

I agree that these things don’t make sense for Utah, but Phillys also not remotely interested in getting off PG’s deal at any cost. First cuz the basic plan is to compete this year and that means the Sixers need PG as much as anyone (there’s a reason they signed him); second cuz in any trade this year they’d have to take back equal salary, and that would mean they’re only saving on two years of his deal (he’s also a lot easier ti trade as a two year); third cuz they won’t have cap space or anything anyway next season if they trade him for only expirings. They’re tied to the Embiid deal for the same length so there’s no real rebuild that can happen, plus they already have Maxey and McCain and others so hard to really bottom out.

Morey’s only going to move him if it doesn’t really cost anything, and that’s probably unlikely now. He’s at a lot pt in value anyway and plenty of chances he picks up his play, even if not the benefit of dumping his deal isn’t anywhere close to a top 3 pick.

LaMelo straight up for a pick is not interesting whatsoever (unless it's #2 for Harper, which I'm guessing would not be on the table)

Fine with me. No desire for his contract relative to production.

Cut the Jazz and just offer 3 and Embiid for LaMelo and M Williams.

No interest in any deal that sets the Hornets back 5 years.
