Jazz Nets

Johnson + 8, 19, 26
for Sexton or Collins + #5

If all the noise from Ace Bailey is because he wants to be a net then they get their guy.
Utah could take MAluach or Kneupple or whoever is left plus another couple late first. They could consolidate picks to move up?

I would rather draft at 5, but if the FO feels different, sure. Brooklyn will probably feel like this is too much.

Jazz aren't going to trade out of 5 unless they're trading up. Jazz will just draft Tre Johnson, Ace Bailey or Jeremiah Fears at 5. Trade proposal should be dead on arrival. At most, the Jazz might consider swapping picks with Washington if the Wizards and Jazz want different guys.

Try Charlotte at #4. If VJ Edgecombe goes #3, Charlotte might trade back for Jakucionis or Maluach.

Way too expensive for a 3 spot move up.

Get my Bulls in this

Brk sends 19 to Chi and 8/36 to Utah
Brk gets 5

Chi sends 12/PWill/JCarter/Port pick to Utah
Chi gets 19/Collins

Utah sends #5/43 to BRK and Collins to Chi
Utah bets 8/12/Port pick/PWill/JCarter

BRK moves up
Utah adds 8/12, moves up 7 spots in the 2nd round and adds the Port pick for future use. MAYBE they can help PWill bounce back
Chi dumps PWill and gets a PF upgrade for 1 season. At #19 they draft Fleming/Newell/Beringer-whoever drops to there

Bulls go with
White/Ayo/Ball
Giddey/Ball
Matas/Huerter/Terry
Collins/Phillips/JSmith
Vuc (or dump him)/Collins/JSmith
Plus the big at #19

NEXT summer the Bulls have Giddey, Matas, #19, JSmith, White's $20 million cap hold, an option on Ball, our 2026 pick and about $100 million in cap space to play with, and all our picks moving forward

Absolutely. If you believe in past precedent, which I do, it's a crazy price. Look at past trade ups to get a gauge of what value it takes.

i agree this is too much to move up to #5. the order from #3-10 is extremely volatile in almost anyone's rankings.

vj and bailey have been the chalk at #3/4 so presumably at #5 you could have your choice of fears/maluach/kon/tre/jaku but any of those guys could go #3 or they could fall to #10. at least one will be in play at #8.

this nets regime was once upon a time were willing to trade lopez and take on mozgov to get DLo. i think something similar could be (and will be) done with CamJ but i think this is overkill. to move up just a few spots i think it's taking on bad salary and attaching one of the extra firsts. the nets have 4 picks in this draft high enough to get green room invited players at each of them. if a team wants to save money off their cap and get 2 of those guys instead of 1, that's the type of cost I'd expect for modest move ups that are generally within the same tiers. this is more of a cost id expect to get up to #3, and it might even be a but heavy for that.
