Rocktetokounmpo

Post#1 » by HornetJail » Sun Jun 22, 2025 10:36 pm

Milwaukee trades Giannis Antetokounmpo
Houston trades Fred VanVleet, Tari Eason, and the following picks
2027 1st (best of PHX/BRK/HOU)
2027 1st (2nd best of PHX/BRK/HOU)
2028 1st swap (Milwaukee can swap whatever the hell this is for HOU)
2029 1st (best of PHX/DAL/HOU)
2029 1st (2nd best of PHX/DAL/HOU)
2030 1st swap (Milwaukee can swap worse of MIL/POR for HOU)

Milwaukee pulls the plug, and gets 4 picks with real upside out of Giannis, along with two swaps, a prospect, and a $45M expiring to kick off a rebuild.

Houston had to sacrifice essentially no value in a Durant trade, so why not go all the way in. Houston goes into next season as potential favorites with a supersized lineup involving some combination of Giannis/KD/Sengun/Amen/Jabari/Whitmore/Sheppard, although there likely does need to be a follow-up trade for a guard/wing.

Bucks aren't trading him, and certainly not for this.

Bones of deal that make sense would be:

Sengun to NOP

Giannis, Herb to Hou

CJ
Reed
Cam
#7
2026 Mil #1
2027 Mil #1
Best 2 of Hou, Phx, Bk 2027 #1
Best 2 of Hou, Dal, Phx 2029 #1

That is an awesome strategic teardown that would set Milwaukee up nicely going forward.

Houston would be set up as well to immediately compete.

FVV / CP3 ?
Herb / ???
Amen / Tari
Durant / Jabari
Giannis / Adams

As a Bucks fan as soon as the KD trade dropped I thought maybe IF the Bucks trade him or Giannis asks out it would probably be to Houston.

Looking at Lars trade thr bones of it I like but here's my version being a Bucks fan.

Giannis, P. Connaughton, T.Smith to Houston
27/29 1sts Suns to NOP
Sengun. Bari Smith Jr., R. Sheppard, and Whitmore, 26/27 MKE 1sts back from NOP, & 3 1sts from Houston.

Giannis, KD, Amen, FVV, Adams is a great starting lineup. Connaughton brings shooting which you will need.

For the Bucks we start over with 4 young players who have a ton of talent, and get our 26/27 picks back, and other 1st round picks.

Honestly then I would trade Dame to Suns then for Beal and #29.
