BULLS
In:J.Smith
Out: White
The Bulls get the youngest player with the most potential, and it's also a positional need.
HOUSTON
In: White
Out:J.Smith
Houston plunged into the race, getting the best player currently with the most needed skill set...a very good shooter and another extra handler.
both are one year away from needing an extension

Isn’t White what Sheppard is supposed to develop into?

Maybe in the future .. Sheppard can be FVV replacement, I see White as Green's replacement, only better .. Houston will want to win next season and you need a starting caliber SG

I’ve seen a few variations of the updated Rockets depth chart. How do you see their starting lineup and first reserves off the bench looking?

I posted this trade because I think they need a SG and they could still use more shooting, even with KD. That's why I thought White would be a great fit. Plus, he's not a bad defender so he wouldn't be affected.
FVV/White/Amen/KD/Sengun
Sheppard/FA/Whitmore/Eason/Adams
Ideally they would still look for a veteran SG in FA who is a good shooter like A. Burks or someone like that.

I don't see HOU settling for a year of Coby White and the possible high cost of resigning him.
If I'm the Bulls I do it in a heartbeat. A PF who has been a starter and under control as a RFA. There are a lot more PG, SG combo Guards to be found to replace Coby than young PF with legit size, just look at the Bulls roster. You can get caught upp in saying Matas is the PF, I see two forwards. I would think Smith sees the upside to staying where he has Matas opposite him, Giddey to feed him the ball possibly solid guys like Lonzo, Ayo, Huerter, Jalen Smith coming off the bench

Jabari Smith is an extremely overrated player who isn't worth the money he's about to get. The Bulls already have Patrick Williams who fits that label, although Jabari is better than Pat, hes not as good as Coby White and doesnt provide what the Bulls actually need.
