PHX - MIA - MIL

Post#1 » by Toine85 » Mon Jun 23, 2025 3:43 pm

Phoenix trades: Bradley Beal, Ryan Dunn, #10
Phoenix receives: Kyle Kuzma, Andrew Wiggins, #20

WHY FOR SUNS? Break up Beal's huge contract into two more manageable contracts. Kuzma also can play PF as the Suns are currently very guard heavy.

============================

Miami trades: Terry Rozier, Andrew Wiggins, #20
Miami receives: Bradley Beal, Ryan Dunn, #10

WHY FOR HEAT? Rumor has it that Miami was offering Rozier, Wiggins, #20 for KD. Obviously that didn't get done, but would they be willing to offer that same deal for Beal plus jumping into the lottery this year along with a prospect who was drafted 28th last year? Wiggins and Scary Terry never seemed to fit in after being traded to Miami; it could be addition by subtraction in these two cases.

============================

Milwaukee trades: Kyle Kuzma
Milwaukee receives: Terry Rozier

WHY FOR BUCKS? With Dame out, Terry can provide that microwave scoring from the guard spot. Also, his contract is one year shorter than Kuzma's.

I don't think Miami touches this. That's financial ruin for a player who has Phoenix by the short and curly's when we're finally financially soluble. It just seems like a stupid move just to move up 10 spots and get a prospect.

Why is Beal agreeing? He has a NTC and you can't ignore that.

Amazing deal for Miami. Probably minimal drop off on court at best and get a good pick and prospect for taking on what $25M next season?

Bucks make out great too because now they can flip Rozier easier for something more helpful than Kuzma.

Really bad for Phoenix who badly overpays for Wiggins here while having to eat Kuzma

Rumor has it that he was willing to waive his NTC in January 2025. I don't think that's changed.

Agreed, though I think of Miami expressed genuine interest, he would be happy to go there. He'd start next to Herro as an upgraded Alec Burks.

Miami is finally set to have cap space next year and you just casually toss in $25 million extra like it's no big thing? Seriously? That's nothing to sneeze at!

I think the idea for Phoenix is that Kuzma fits positionally better than Beal, but my problem with that is just keep Dunn. I think he's probably better than Kuzma already. They probably don't touch this.

Huh?

I think $25M is a pittance to pay for Dunn and pick #10. That's great value. If Miami would rather keep their flexibility for free agency next summer over taking that huge gift of value, okay. I can't speak to that. But I can speak to what incredible value they get here.

Im tossing nothing lol.

I'm glad you think it's a great value. I don't share that opinion. I don't think #10 in this draft is that valuable and I'm not that high on Dunn. Didn't really think that was a controversial opinion, not to each their own.

I said nothing about your opinion. You opined on mine. :D You asserted I dismissed $25M as nothing when I in fact did the opposite, I noted what great value it was.

Again, if you don't value Dunn or those prospects over flexibility, okay. For the 2nd time, okay.

The only ones that treasure Kuzma are God and Kuz's parents
