Game Changing Dal-Det Trade

Post#1 » by daoneandonly » Wed Jun 25, 2025 2:39 pm

Shocked its not AD? Rest assure, that's coming

Dallas Gets: Marcus Sasser
Detroit Gets: Olivier-Maxence Prosper

Dallas gets a guard where they are incredibly light. Sasser should be able to carve out more PT in Dallas vs Detroit where Cade/Ivey/Ausar/etc will be rightfully monopolizing those minutes. Detroit adds some length with Omax and see if they can carve a rotational role for him.

Perhaps, I really had no clue how Sasser was viewed and what his value was. Sadly Dallas is quite short on 2nds due to a series of missteps, so if that were the case, this would be DOA.

Sasser is worth more, Mavs shouldn't pay since they have Hardy doing the same (I think Sasser is better than Hardy also, but it's 13th man in depth chart)...
So, unless Pistons are convinced they see something in OMax that Kidd doesn't see, they shouldn't do this, and Mavs shoudln't pay to make them...

Already learning, so this one was a swing and a miss. If one more poster chimes in with the same, I can ask the mods to lock it up

I'd be happy playing Sasser 10-15 MPG. I wouldn't for Olivier. If Olivier has showed a bit more or had an elite prospective trait, the deal makes sense.

Prosper is nothing, and there is no path to development in Dallas so I appreciate the OP trying to move him. But he has no value.

And Dallas owes something but absolutely shouldn't pay it. I mean they have Brandon Williams already here for the 3rd PG(currently 1st lol) and Hardy for the ah screw it minutes. Sasser isn't enough of an upgrade to spend their limited assets on imo. Especially not with them almost certainly signing at least one vet.

As such, would you mind locking this please?
