PHI/BOS
PHI in: Jaylen Brown
PHI out: PG/#3
Phi replaces PG for what Paul George was supposed to be. Even if Embiid doesn't work out, can build around Brown and Maxey in the future.
BOS IN: PG/#3
BOS out: Jaylen Brown
Bos gets a young rookie to build around when Tatum gets back, as well as a tank commander. Tatum will probably be rust proof and fully ready to go by the start of 27 season in which PG will only have year left and should just be a large expiring.

Absolutely not. Jaylen Brown is overpaid for what he brings.

Re: PHI/BOS
I just don't like anyone in this draft enough after Flagg to make that swap. In another year maybe but the top end of this year's draft feels like it could be a dud to me. If you swing and miss and also take on PG's contract it could set you back several years.
If the Celtics did go that route, go whole hog and flip PG to the Bucks or Pelicans for Dame or Murray and some sort of asset and try to truly tank next year to add hopefully another top 5 pick to Tatum/White/Pritchard and #3. It's a huge step back so you have to love someone in this draft. I tried to get there with Ace Bailey but I don't think he's gonna be efficient enough at the next level. Harper I see as an elite talent but am still super skeptical.

This has the same problem all of these trades do if you're the Sixers. No one would give you enough for 3 to make you a contender without Embiid and you can't bet premium assets on him ever being healthy again.
I don't buy Maxey or Brown as the best guy on a title team, so it's better to take the swing at 3 and keep building.

Re: PHI/BOS
I’d pass from Boston perspective.
Pick 2 or a later pick 3-10 and a good young player would get me talking.

Re: PHI/BOS
If Embiid were a healthy MVP caliber player still who just randomly missed one year and that's why they were picking #3 as opposed to it being the new yearly normal for him... I think you could rationalize this for PHI if you though PG was a total lost cause. Because with Embiid at that level you'd have a championship window that a totally washed up PG compared to an in his prime Jaylen Brown would be holding you back from realizing.
But that is NOT the case with Embiid and I'm not sure I buy PG as totally washed either. Thus, not a deal for PHI to consider IMO.

Can't do this for so many reasons.
I do wonder if BKN and BOS might be discussing Jaylen, however.

Re: PHI/BOS
Boston missing a year of Tatum and then saddling him with 2 years of PG's deadweight would mean he's 30 by the time you're able to replace that contract with useable money.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Re: PHI/BOS
Both teams need fixing, but I don’t think they are good trade partners.
Boston
Brown is good, but not “max contract” good. If Boston is really fixing their cap sheet, they should move Jaylen. Nets seem like a perfect partner. Get some picks and Cam Johnson? Save some money and pile up some assets.
Philly
Morey is full of himself and took a huge risk in signing PG to that contract. Two years? Sure. Four? That’s nuts. Since you got #3, time to burn it down and build around Maxey. Not sure what you can get moving Embid, or what you have to attach to PG, but just do it and get it over with.

I think you have to give Embiid this year and hope he comes back at MVP level. If not then he's a bad contract, but that's what he is going to be treated as right now anyway. And if he comes back strong you're moving an all star at the least and someone will pay for him.

Not a pretty situation. But your thoughts are more likely to happen since Morey would have to admit he made a huge mistake if he did my method. Also, one more year of good ticket sales…

Re: PHI/BOS
Moving the 3rd pick for a over 60 million dollar per year all star is gross. Like what Brown brings, he's not making the difference between the 76ers making a deep playoff run and missing the playoffs and he's quite overpaid compared to his production.

If Brown is overpaid what does that make George?

The only argument people want to bring up is money, which I find comical when you are getting off even a worse contract in George. Not sure what to say either if you don’t think an all nba/finals MVP would make a difference….
