Nets/76ers

Post#1 » by facothomas22 » Wed Jun 25, 2025 8:38 pm

76ers out: 3rd pick
76ers in: 8th pick,19th pick,22th pick, 76ers 2028 1st top 8 protected 1st round pick returned

Nets out:8th pick,19th pick,22th pick,returning the 76ers 2028 top 8 protected 1st round pick
Nets in: 3rd pick

Why the 76ers do this? They move down by a significant margin, but still land a lottery pick, along with getting additional picks for this year and regain their own future pick.
Why the Nets do this? They move up 5 spots in ensure they are able to get Ace Bailey and get rid of some of those some picks in this year's draft they don't need.

Who is so special that the Nets are giving all of that up when the guys ranked 3-8 are roughly equivalent?

This.

I wouldn't trade back that far for a bunch of mediocre picks

If Brooklyn wanted to move up, I think it's one pick too heavy for them. Pure guess.

For the Sixers, 8 is a little low for me to be comfortable. I have a drop after 4 and 7 with one being impossible to play next to Maxey or McCain. So staying in the top 4/6 vs not is a big difference.

I would consider it minus either 19 or 22 and plus Drummond, but I'm almost assuredly just making the pick at 3. Someone would have to move me off of VJ/Tre with real value.

seems amazing for the Nets. Seems not smart for Philly who has a chance to add a top level prospect which is much more valuable than landing multiple so-so prospects.

But but magic tiers...

I think this is close, but maybe #8/19/26 and the pick returned is enough
BRK keeps 22/27 for depth, and still gets their guy at 3
Philly could also use depth. There's a GOOD chance the 3rd best guy in this draft is picked 8-12
