Its funny that Peterson had the worst stretch in recent Atlanta history as a GM and our owners said "yep, lets hand the keys to this guy" and now we are clearly the worst team in the East in less than 16 months

I like it for both. They already traded Mark I think that bridge was burnt. They got 2 1sts for him with a bad physical. Not bad at all.

PHX a great chance to revive him, and a nice backup in the draft.

The Suns finally no longer have to depend on small ball 24/7. Multiple Center options who provide in a different ways. They still need to figure what they're going to do with Jalen Green, but the Suns might be able to get into the play-in range next season.

Use a lottery pick on a player then immediately undermine it by acquiring a player who plays the same position.

That was always my favorite. Pistons used to love to do this.

So the worst of CLE/MIN/UTA29FRP and pick 29.

Effectively #29 and another one the mid 20s most likely.

So basically the trade was:

PHX unprotected 31 to Utah

PHX 26 after a bunch of swaps, pick #29 this year and the lessor of MIN/CLE/UTA 29 1st to Charlotte with Nurkic

Mark Williams and the lessor of MIN/UTA/CLE 27 1st to PHX
