I like to overreact to the draft. Minnesota just drafted a french C, so lets move Gobert

Boston out: Hauser, White
Boston in: Gobert, #31

Get a center, shave another 3 million from the bill. Get a nice 2nd

Minnesota out: Gobert, #31
Minnesota in: White

Add a legit pg next to Ant. Save money. Can use Conley to trade, resign Naz to be the starting C.

Hawks out: Nothing
Hawks in: Hauser

Add a shooter from Boston for free.

I think Gobert and White are similar caliber players, Gobert probably better in a vacuum.

I think White's skill-set is more sought after though.

Beringer will likely need some time to develop. He is quite raw. He is still 18 years old and will be 18 on opening day. I compare him to Duren, who needed 3 years to really get into a good grove. Gobert will be expiring when Minnesota wants Beringer to take major minutes.

Doesn't make sense for Boston to trade for an aging player with only 2 years left. 27-28 is probably the earliest realistic year when they can start contending again.

I don't see atlanta doing this because Hauser was actually a perfect pair in the boston trade for prozingis to match salarys with Mann.

Porzingis + Hauser for Mann + Niang. If we wanted Hauser for free or taking up cap imagine we would have included him in that deal to begin with. But it seems were wanting that cap to use the 25 mil TPE for something better.

I think the idea for Minnesota is to have Gobert mentor Beringer for a couple of years, so I'd be surprised if they move Rudy this offseason.

Value maybe OK. But I do t think Rudy fits the timeline as the Cs have a gap year.

For what it is worth, Naz Reid is more-so a Small-Forward, than he is a Center. Very much a Power-Forward, having him as the starting Center would be a pretty big disaster.

Don’t think the Celtics would give up anything for Gobert especially considering our cap situation. He’s 32, makes a lot for a defense-only center, and his play style is so far from what the Celtics want out of their big man that I can’t see any deal that would work.

Naz on the other hand would fit like a glove, but it all depends on what number he wants to be at on his next deal. Still, there’s no deal that would make sense for both sides that I think the Celtics would accept for White even though I love his fit in Minny.
