This is so out of character for your usual trades, because the Bulls should do it. Primarily because they give up nothing

Ayton doesn't shoot the 3 like Vuc but he's much more mobile on both ends and can run the floor. No he's not a great rim protector but he can't be worse than Vuc getting caught 15 feet from the basket. Has anyone seen Vuc roll to the basket and dunk the ball? Possibly Smith gets some minutes at the 4. Come next summer you see who between Collins and Ayton think staying in CHI makes sense for them at whatever reduced price they will accept.

Carter needs to move on and Terry has to see he hasn't made enough gains to be helpful. There are going to be FAs who can do more

The issue for PORT is they get back 4 players for one and they've got a full roster, going to be paying some guys to leave.

Adding Reath is not adding real value. I think it is very likely Blazers don’t exercise Reath’s team option.

That's negative value to LA, imo. Maybe Lakers throw in a 2nd, but can't see the sense in throwing in Knecht.

I would rather not, rather hope we get that 15th pick next season than take DeAndre Ayton.

I would rather do something around Ayton for Knecht if portland is taking all these guys for salary and just let the pick convey next year. We have no shooters, or scorers really. Knecht in a starting role next to Deni would be an interesting scoring duo. I'm still high on Knecht and think he could be a 18-22 ppg guy.

Lakers don't need Portland to get Vuc from Bulls IMO.
