Any takers for Kispert?

3-years at $13-14mn/year for a proven shooter and cutter. He could be a good depth addition to a contender.
The Wiz would be looking for some 2nd rounders plus, ideally, a front court player in return. A sign-and-trade package could also be of interest.

I could probably be talked into a Kispert for Kuminga deal depending on how the rest of the offseason played out

I don't think he should have positive value on that deal

Probably not much, but a couple 2nd rounders doesn't seem like a big ask either. He's a solid rotation wing making more or less MLE money, I think someone would be interested.

I actually kinda like that. The Wizards have a lot of forwards, but most of them are small forwards. We could use one bigger forward to rebound and guard the Julius Randles of the league.
Isaac also fits the good character and defense first mindset the Wizards are promoting. And as an added benefit, he won't want a lot of minutes, which allows more minutes for the youngsters to develop.

Ayton for Holmes + Kispert + any small salary guy (since its off by like 800K per trade checker).
WAS gets a big to take the bruises and let Sarr play PF a bit more for development (I do think he is a C eventually).
PDX gets a shooter whos deal expires the same time as Grant + Holiday.

I think the Wizards should keep him. He’s young and can shoot. Most of their young guys can’t really shoot.
Washington’s lineup probably looks something like:
McCollum-Johnson-Collubolly-Middleton-Sarr
Smart-Carrington-Kispert-George-Holmes
I kind of like this as a developing group. There isn’t a high end prospect, but it’s a nice mix of veterans and youth with good balance and floor spacing.

He's a modern day Jason Kapono, don't think you get value for that

Carrington should start and AJ Johnson should play more than Smart unless they are showcasing him for a trade. I though Holmes was the backup center too but the guys I trust on the Wiz board says we probably cut him (only $500,000 guaranteed) and go with whatever Kelly O can provide at backup center plus Vukcevic as depth if no one else jumps up.

Kelly Olynyk also plays much better as a power forward than he does as a center. He's a really bad NBA center.

In Utah he was way better at center, he can't defend 4s all game, just on switches.

Was he really? He's such a poor rebounder, I didn't realize he was playing backup 5 for Utah. He was not good at it in Toronto.

We had a lot of size around him (Collins and Lauri), but yah, most of his minutes were at center.

I think Wizards should through a couple of SRPs to get a random expiring for Kispert. If Bucks have any money left after they make other moves, I could be talked in flipping Connaughton for Kispert.

Why would they do that as a rebuilding team?

Wiz have $100 million in cap space next year. They're not going to trade picks to dump Kispert.
