Boston send: Payton Pritchard and Xavier Tillman
Minnesota send: 2032 FRP (unprotected) plus 4 SRP
A little under 20 years ago, Minnesota helped Boston win a championship by giving Boston Kevin Garnett for Al Jefferson. Boston pays the blood debt by giving them a young playmaker they desperately need.
Boston why:
They load up on assets and cut more salary. Pritchard's $7 mil per year contract is not very valuable for them since that contract will basically expire before their next contention window. The Celtics clear cap room and roster spots to go all in on the Process of finding bench pieces who can be locked up for cheap through Tatum's 4th contract.
Also dump Tillman and get someone on the rookie minimum.
Minnesota why:
They are very thin at PG and Conley's so old he was literally Greg Oden's HS teammate. They get the 6MOY locked up for the next 3 seasons on the cheap for a low price.

Minnesota doesn't own 2 1sts in 2030. They also owe a 2029 1st. Not sure why this would be legal?

Then make it 2032 first and 2030 Spurs first. Let's not sweat the details.

They don't even own the 2030 1st, it's a swap with the Spurs.
Best to go back to the drawing board since you don't have the picks right. Minnesota traded their 2031 1st. They can't trade 2030 or 2032 1sts.
Probably best to lock this thread

they owe 2031 1st to SAS and owe a swap in 2030 to SAS. they have zero tradable 1sts

No need, just gotta swap some picks around.

Pritchard is probably worth a first, singular. And not a far off one with such variance/potential to be high along with with the nuisance that owing future picks
BOS could have gotten a 1st for him on draft night most likely IMO. They might even have a hard time getting a 2026 1st for him right now though because teams won't want to tie up their ability to do a multi pick offer at the deadline. At the deadline a team looking solid would probably offer a 2026 first for him knowing roughly where they expect it to land and knowing that any future draft pick trades done in the offseason wouldn't be impacted by owing their 2026 pick because the Stephien rule goes away with the league year switch.

All right, 2032 pick is clear and added 4 seconds. Now Minnesota can finally get their point guard of the future.

What's the matching salary here? Seems like a little more importance than the small stuff

They are over the 1st Apron, they can't use TPE from previous seasons.

All right forget this. I'll come back midseason on this Pritchard faketrade.
Lock this please, mods.

Dillingham was 700K away from matching.

I doubt they give away Dillingham for Pritchard. They gave up so much for him, they'll at least try to work it out.

If you really want to show your benevolences to my Wolves, could you concoct a fictional trade for Derrick White and not Pritchard.
You owe us!!
