Wow, yeah I'm pretty surprised that Utah couldn't even get a straight up expiring swap for him.

Is Sexton a horrible player? I'm not sure if understand the motive for Utah here.

I guess I (and many others on here) value Sexton more than the league does. He's undersized and a poor defender but always grades out extremely well offensively.

Basketball-reference shows them at $19M and change each with one more year.

Also think this is a sign Ainge has held on to some of these guys for way too long. Sexton could have fetched more if he was moved a year ago.

The most important thing this off-season has taught me is each team values players differently.

25 teams could value Nurkic as bad. If Charlotte can find one of the 4-5 teams who value Nurkic more than one of their expiring, then Charlotte should take that deal rather than adding value to Nurkic.

Exceptional GM work by Charlotte. I loved all their moves so far (Mark Williams trade, Drafting Kon, this trade).

Im sad to see this. Monk has to be worth about the same right? We've seen simons and Sexton both traded for basically neutral to negative value. Sad day for undersized microwave scorers off the bench
