Solid number, was hoping for a touch less but can't really complain

Without the 2nd apron, he feels like the kinda guy who easily asks 30. 2nd apron going to start limiting these types. Lotta money off the bench for Rockets if Eason starts.

Rockets and they are not done. Gonna be the winners of the offseason except if we get something super crazy going on with Giannis or another superstar.

That's a good amount of money for a role player. The Rockets must be betting on his 3pt shot improving.

Pistons fans hoping Duren and Ivey will be cheaper just put their heads down a little.

He's not good enough for that money yet.

He is young enough that he could easily improve and be worth the deal (which doesn't even start until 2026-7). A 5 year deal that extends 6 years out ties him up for a long time. If he doesn't improve (or not much) it could be pretty bad due to the length. If he improves a lot this could be a great deal for Houston.

It's funny that deals like these no longer indicate that a person is going to be a starter.

Let me ask, would that be similar to what Shaedon Sharp of Blazers should get - in the ball park?

It indicates 24+ mpg, which is what matters.

~14% of cap

he's played more than 30 mpg his three years so far. If he is going down to 24 after this deal, that would be even more puzzling. Of course, now they have Kevin Durant and I personally believe Eason will compliment him better in a lineup than Smith Jr - which means Smith Jr could end up being the first forward off the bench, but could be dealing with a slightly smaller role. Will be interesting to see

He wouldn't, just saying this money is indicative of a main rotation player. Doesn't matter if he starts or not.

I top could see Eason starting.

FVV, Amen, Tari, Durant, Sengun
Reed, SG MLE, Whitmore, Jabari, Adams

150% of the MLE. Deal should start at about $20M/year. Seems fair.

Boom exactly what I predicted, love it.

I think Tari gets identical or slightly lower due to injury.

Predicting Durant signs a 4 year deal at 30 per.

Only way to avoid the tax and keep everyone.

Blazer fans hoping Camara accepts 4/89 he supposedly has been offered - in same ballpark

I thought guys his age couldn't sign longer than 3 years? They didn't let Nene do it at 34.

You might be right, maybe a wink wink, but there is no way they can pay him 50+ and keep Tari. Which they absolutely must do.
