What is the best offer for Dame+Pat+MIL 2031 first?

Assuming MIL is determined to stay competitive to persuade Giannis to stay. What can be the best offer for Dame+Pat+MIL 2031 first?

The problem is that you need to find a team that's willing to blow a $50 million hole in their salary cap immediately for the promise of a pick 6 years from now. I don't think you're going to get anyone good with that proposition.
This is clearly not the direction Portland is going, but (irony aside) Dame/Pat/2031 1st (with decent protection) for Grant/Jrue feels about right value wise

I can’t see MIL trading future 1st for obvious reasons

Maybe Chicago does Vuc/PWill/choice of Collins or Huerter for Dame/Pat/2031 1st (top 5 protected)?

Not a bad idea. I’m fairly certain that’s the best MIL can do.
This talk that they’re going to “aggressively” pursue the offseason is silly. We all see their roster and their assets. They’re extremely limited on what they can do this offseason.

Offer the 2031 first and 2032 swap for Lauri? No idea if Ainge takes it, but at least try. Don’t see Utah pulling assets with that kind of variance but it’s still feels tough..
If Jrue really isn’t happy in Portland (no idea if that was just noise)
Jrue and Grant for Dame, Connaughton and Livingston is legal.
I don’t think it costs the full unprotected pick since Mil is taking on the third year of those two.. Milwaukee starts calling any team that’ll answer offering Kuzma+ for a guard..
Don’t think it costs an unprotected first to get Beal/Dame done.
If Toronto wants a reset? Ingram is there..

The Bucks would have to take a lot of crap salary in any deal for Lillard and Pat C. The of them together is about $64.5 million. Pat expires and Dame has an option year of $58.4 million coming off his injury at 35, his birthday is July 15th. It's unlikely that he plays at all in 2025-26.
What team has junk or near junk salary to send back maybe players who could help but are very over paid!
The Bucks have big issues like who's gonna play pg? Who is the Center? Are they bringing back Brook Lopez?

They're probably going to have to if they're serious about keeping Giannis.

Lauri is an interesting idea. Dame/Pat/2031 1st unprotected/2032 swap unprotected for Lauri/Clarkson/Svi works $ wise.
Ingram is also an interesting idea if the new FO starts trying to unwind some of Masai's missteps.

If Giannis expects the Bucks to be good this upcoming season, then the Bucks are mismanaging the situation and it will end badly. The play is next summer when both Dame and Kuzma will be expiring and there will be a lot of cap space. I believe the Bucks will have a first that they can use in a trade on draft day as well.

The thing that comes to my mind is Dame for Beal. I think a 2nd round pick to the Bucks if the Suns have any to send.

Beal would have to give up his NTC not just waive it for this deal.

Well, I wanted and sort of expected the Jazz to do Sexton and Collins for Dame and the 31st pick. I guess now it would have to be Collins and Clarkson and maybe one of the young guys for salary matching.
I don’t think the Jazz would move Lauri for just the 31st pick, but I also didn’t expect the Jazz to do such a bad deal for Sexton so who knows.

That would have made more sense as they are gonna need a point guard.

That's all fair, but I'm not sure "hang tight for a year and then hopefully we can sign someone good in free agency next offseason!" is a better pitch.

The trade seemed like a gigantic win for both teams. Not sure if the GM’s never explored it, which would be odd and bad because it’s so obvious. Or if the Bucks or Jazz weren’t interested….which also seems odd as it’s a good match.
Sexton and Collins were both one year rentals that could be resigned. Collins had a great year last year. Sexton played well as well and could have been a good player to run some offense when Giannis sat. They both are efficient which is about all you need next to a guy like Giannis.
I don’t get it. Seemed like a perfect trade. But that ship has sailed.

I would do Dame for LaVine.
I think Dame for Beal also makes sense.
Maybe something with the Raptors? IF the new GM hates the roster? Some combo of Ingram, Barrett, IQ, Poeltl?

Wiz have expirings that will keep the Bucks competitive with Middleton (36M), CJ McCollum (30M), Smart (21M), and Olynyk (12M).
Midds + CJ keeps the Bucks competitive for a year and get out of Dames last year so they can go FA hunting next summer

Not sure how Bucks fans will like it, but that makes a ton of sense to me. Am I crazy to think with RJ - Ingram - Giannis, you don't really need a real pg? Jerome on a cheap deal to come shoot 40% from 3 would be fine.
