I started with really good idea by jayjaysee but modified it a little bit


Denver: Kelly Olynyk, Malcolm Brogdon (s&t $16M/3y)
Washington: Zake Nnaji, Dario Saric, Hunter Tyson, Julian Strawther, 2026 swap option (top 6 protected?), 2032 Nuggets 2nd


Denver - in jayjaysee idea it was Kispert to Denver but Nuggets need backup C more so I replaced him with Olynyk. Also added Tyson/Strawther for Brogdon s&t. Denver adds 2032 2nd to Wash for help in s&t. Strawther was Nuggets 8th player last season, Washington can rerute him to another team, since they have so many wings already


Washington - they currently have the worse of Houston/OKC pick in 2026, which projects to be 30th. This is a 4-6 spot jump, and 2032 Nuggets 2nd for players they don't need, and taking Nnaji's contract

Denver would have to get under the first apron to take back a player via S&T and I don’t see how they can do that

By the explanation I got here from CBA experts, team over 1st apron can't sign and trade player (own free agent) but can recive a player signed and traded to them by team under 1st apron

Yeah CBS has it backwards. Sending out a S&T = hardcapped at the second apron; receiving a S&T = hardcapped at the first apron

Yes, but they would be hardcapped at the second apron

What are the odds that swap is made 1.2%. Don't think Washington eats Nnaji for that.

Should have read OP better. Stopped at the illegal SNT. Still not sure that is enough to dump 3 years of Nnaji making 23m.

If the team wants to include the newly acquired player in a trade that involves other players being sent out, they must wait 60 days"

So if Denver can't be part of S&T, both teams can wait 60 days to make a trade or just do 2nd option.

Moving up in the 1st round 5-6 spots for rebuilding team? Next season their projected payroll is $92M, with Nnaji $99M

If you sign a player, or trade for him, how much you must wait before you can trade him? It means aquire player. You can trade him after 60 days, right?
S&T means trading player signed at the time.

I like it a bit less than the original. I think Kispert is worth more than Kelly O but Washington has a dearth of big bodies and a surplus of wings so getting more time for all our 2-3 type players was a part of the value.

Yes, in original Washington trades one of their wings, better for them, but in this version Denver gets what they need more - backup C

S&T means trading player signed at the time.

Newly signed FA are usually trade eligible around Dec 15. FA signings are not considered acquired players.

If you trade for a player you can flip him immediately if you are not aggregating his salary...traded alone basically.
