Re: (Shams) Bruce Brown back to Denver
okay there is the Porter savings being spent I'm guessing. He fit great with Jokic so while I'm not as high on him as our Raptors fans were, he should help there.

Nice pick up. Hopefully it's a reasonable price that leaves them some room to make additional moves.

Good pickup, they need that guard depth on defense. Missed it.

What else can the Nuggets still do? It’s all happened so fast with the MPJ trade and money savings then this.
Edit: I guess we still don’t know the details of the deal so impossible to say right now

Depends on the price. One year means it is not the MLE. It is either a s+t into the exception created with the MPJ trade or a minimum deal, I would assume.

Apparently Denver can use its MLE now. If they can snag Lopez and then add Clarkson, Denver would be rocking:
Jokic / Lopez
Gordon / ????
Johnson / Brown
Braun / Clarkson
Murray / ???

It’s vet min for Bruce Brown, according to the DNVR Sports podcast.

I love that for them. Keeps their MLE open to add another rotation guy (or two)

Can we trust the local podcast? I don't know who is on Denver's. But seems odd for him to settle for a min this early.

Yep, joining the chorus that at the minimum that's a great pickup for Denver.

Idk, I can see it. His agent(s) survey the market and don't see any money out there for him, so they get him quickly to a place where he's had success in the past and they know he'll get minutes to set himself up for next offseason's FA class.

Oh we see it every year, but a min with Denver would have been on the table in a day, 2 days, right? Of course that could just be his market.

Yeah there's probably no harm in waiting, but I'm guessing his agents probably determined there was no reason to wait either and just decided to get it done.
