Milwaukee trades Pat Connaughton and MIL '31 2nd and MIL '32 2nd to Charlotte for Vasilije Micic.

Why??? Do they think Micic can actually contribute as a pg and maybe has been stuck in awful situations?

Bizarre. Has to be connected to the Turner signing I assume, pretty sure Micic already committed to playing overseas next season.

I really liked the aggressive move, but they needed to keep salaries and the seconds to find an actual starting guard.

But if this is needed for Turner I guess you find a way after..

Charlotte is doing work in these trades. Hopefully that gives fans more confidence in their drafting.

I'm guessing they need the cap space freed up by Micic's buyout to make the Turner signing, otherwise yeah this makes no sense for Milwaukee.

I think it's pretty widely expected that Micic will get a pretty major buyout to go back to Europe. when it's all said and done, I think Milwaukee will be seeing $5-8M in savings from this trade

I'll give Jeff Peterson some props, he loves 2031 2nd round picks and is damn good at acquiring them. Hopefully our next GM is an expert drafter

Carolina is a good market for basketball and, even though it's not a glamour market, the team could be a lot more interesting if it managed its margins better. No reason why not, at some point, Charlotte Hornets couldn't have what Indiana Pacers had this past year
